JR Lawn And Snow

We have had JR Lawn and Snow doing the snow clearing at our home for over 10 years. They have consistently cleared the snow that falls, and the snow rows that the city donates to the end of our driveway, in a timely fashion. Their service is done hours ahead of the few competitors who have clients in our area. The driver on our route is extra careful to both clear almost the total width and length of our driveway despite the fact there are stone walls he must avoid and a garage overhang that could be easily hit.

Great snow clearing service. Very communicative before, during and after a storm. They also come multiple times during a big snow event, and our driveway is always clear for us to leave or come home. Great job!

I am with this company since 3 years ago. The first year I worked with them, they were amazing. This year it is not going well at all. They send emails saying that they have done the cleaning 2 times or 3 but actually they have not came once. The emails looks amazing but when you look at driveways you feel like saying were is this email coming from. They say the crew is tired but I don't know why they are tired since they are not doing the work. I emailed them today at 5 p.m. and got a response saying that they will send someone to check. It is 9:30 p.m and my driveway is not clean yet. I have a huge pile of snow at the end of my driveway since 3 p.m. I regret paying for this company and I wish I invested the money in a snowblower.This review was written yesterday. This morning I took pictures at 7:45 of my driveway and my neighbor's driveway. 2 are before I cleaned and 2 after I made a pass to get my car out so I can go to my appointment.Today, January 23, I received a reply from JR. Thank you. To say that I waited few hours is not true, I waited all day and the next day until 10 a.m. You are saying they come twice, they did not even come once on that day and if you look at the pictures, you will see how high the snow pile is. Maybe your crew worked somewhere else, but they did not do any work in my neighborhood.

JR does an awesome job at clearing the snow from my driveway. They come by often to make sure I can get out. JR sends email updates before during and after the storms to let us know their progress. I believe they care a great deal about their clients. Their emails and their services reflect that. Martin is usually my snow clearing guy. He is awesome and does a superb job. Thanks. AnneV

First year using a snow service. Solid snow clearing, driver got more consistent as they learned our property layout. Good communication from head office.Seems better than what family members have reported with other companies (areas where JR doesn’t serve), but otherwise we have no direct comparison.Bonus: they came a couple times to clear driveways even though the official snow numbers were below contracted minimum.

JR Snow provide timely Facebook and email updates about when their plows will be in our area. After big storms, their crews come by multiple times to clear our lane including after the city plows have gone down our street. They are super responsive and very dependable. I’m really happy with their service!

I was extremely pleased with our first winter with JR Lawn and Snow. They came when they said they would and did a terrific job each and every time. Their communication was brilliant with constant updates regarding their snow removal plan before and after every snowfall all winter long. I can't imagine being any happier with their service.

Overall, JR Lawn And Snow provides consistent and reliable service. We were one of their first customers on our street and over the years their presence has increased noticeably in our neighbourhood, which I take as a good sign. However, during the 2022/23 season we were skipped a few times for the final cleanup and I had to pull out the shovel. Could it be because they are stretched too thin?

I requested for snow shovel service from my house to the driveway, I waited for them to come but they failed to show up despite a few calls and emails. In my recent attempt to reach out to them, they claimed that the ground was frozen and it was impossible to carry out the task.He claimed that the snow shovel crew had cleared the walkway on March 5th, but this is false as the path has not been shoveled this winter. As the season draws to a close, they have declined to provide a refund or clear the path.

We have been using JR Snow for a couple of years now and their service is good, however, their prices have increased significantly every year. We were very disappointed, however, to receive their Season Overage Fees this year. Friends using different snow removal services were not charged. It would have been a nice gesture during these difficult times to not send these out and this may prompt us to look elsewhere next year. Hope the extra $150 was worth it!
