Sobeys has more variety than Superstore but they seem to want to wrap everything in plastic, they don't have self checkout, and they don't always honor the specials that they advertise in the store.

The shopper who selected the items for our Voila order handled the situation in which there were several out of stock items brilliantly. Her substations were ones I would have made. She explained each change and made certain it was acceptable. They were choices I would have made. It is disappearing that so many items were not available. This Nova Scotia experience does not match what we have found in the Toronto area with Voila.

Sobeys Tantallon is always clean and well staffed with plenty of fresh produce and stock on hand. It also has a backup generator and remains opened during power outages, which was a big help after the most recent hurricane.

Good: Fresh quality products and convenient location.Not so good:Sobeys price competitiveness needs some analysis. Store front end layout is very congested. Large displays and racks at ends of isles interrupt traffic flow and checkout area. Congested Lobby area as well, cart location not good, should create covered outdoor space.

I like this place because they’re always quick. The Deli counter is pretty well stocked for those quick I need something for dinner and who can walk by those giant bags of popcorn in the lobby? The check out lines run so quick it gets you in and out.

Love their customer service...a staff chased me down with my ring I had lost down the sink, another time they actually delivered my cane I had forgotten in a cart...can't say enough good.
