Worked with George since June regarding a joint property split after separation. I found him to be very knowledgeable and competent on the matter. Also, he and his office were prompt and responsive in handling my case. Overall my experience was great and I’d highly recommend him, especially if you need a correct, precise, and comprehensive consultation.

When I first entered the office, George Lee kept stopping me from speaking and denying that a case can be established, which is totally different from other lawyers. Before consulting George Lee, I have paid to consult 3 different lawyers. George Lee charged twice legal fee of other lawyers while showing zero emphathy for his clients. Clients have to pay before talking to Lee. When i show discomfort as a result of him stopping me from talking, he said you could leave rudely and he could paid me back. Go to any other local lawyers that do not charge for the first consultation.Goerge lee is not only expressing his opinions on my cases, but also upsetting me. Update: George indeed made the wrong judgment. Just as I previously thought, an important phrase in my contract was actually a terminology defined in my favor, not a casual phrase to be interpreted freely by the opposing party (which George assumed). But George refused to verify his assumption and claimed I cannot win this case, despite my request for a concrete verification. I then verified by myself through some research and won the case.Besides, a lot of new accounts (with little to no prior reviews) gave him 5-star reviews after my 2-star review was posted and boosted his rating back to 4.4. Why is this the case?---------------The good aspect is that George Lee’s professional competency seems to be okay in general.However, he exhibits several telltale signs that, I’d argue, are red flags showing incompetence and a low sense of empathy, at least in my case. A bit of background: I want to sue someone for a small sum of money, which probably he thinks isn't worth his attention, although it means a lot more than just money to me, and lawyer fee is not a problem for me.1. He makes incorrect assumptions and gives comments/suggestions based on these assumptions without first seeking validation or confirmation, multiple times.2. He doesn't have attention to detail and would sometimes rely on me feeding him the info to change his assumption, rather than proactively asking questions to get clarification by himself.3. He doesn't have enough empathy to understand my situation and feelings, despite me explaining my situation very clearly to him. This shows a low level of respect towards me.4. He has a money centric mindset and doesn't uphold justice enough. He keeps telling me the amount I claim from the opposing party is too low to be worthwhile for a litigation (BTW, it is >5000, qualified for small claims court), although as a lawyer, he should uphold justice, and I have made it very clear that the money is not the most important consideration in this case: there is something in our lives way more important than money. He simply doesn't seem to listen or care.He might be competent to more “important” clients, but I only need to speak for myself, and in our appointment, he was neither competent nor understanding, or empathic, or respectful.

during the consultation with the lawyer, she confidently said that she could help with my case, however, she changed her tune after I paid. The lawyer apparently said that she were too busy to adjust around my schedule and can’t guarantee the result.During the consultation, she said quite confident on my case as well as didn’t mention about her schedule.
