Alberta Blue Cross

Recently called ABC for assistance logging on/registering for the online site. Hold times were well over 60 minutes, and rep could not help so passed me on to another rep with another hour long wait. The automatic messages referred me to the site for help, but I was calling about registering for the site and an error message I was receiving from ABC. Finally got through, and there was no resolution.If customer service is important to you, and you value your time, I would not recommend this provider. I have received exceptional and timely service from other providers, and do not recommend this company.

My experience converting from my Group Benefits to an Individual Plan was greatly simplified by my exceptional customer service representative Magdalyn. Her excellent concern for my satisfaction and ease of setting up my new plan was outstanding. I could not be happier with both Magdalyn and Blue Cross. They both have my full endorsement!

Daniel was the agent for my new account. We had been customers with Manulife for 10 years and the premiums had become too exorbitant. Daniel provide outstanding service by answer questions regarding specific drug coverage. He provided valuable information about coverage for both my husband and myself. I had called today, and talk to a very nice gentleman. he name is Sukham Minhas. This man was so very explainable on the new plan called the suspension plan , I wanted to let Blue Cross know he was very awesome and help me to stay with Blue Cross. I am so thankful that I was able to deal with a super helpful representative from Alberta Blue Cross named Jennifer Reynolds! She was so patient in answering all of my questions, took the time to make sure I understood the process of re-initiating my portability plan, and gave me expert advice and guidance throughout the whole process. She was so warm and friendly, professional, and extremely thorough. She was readily available for any follow up questions as well and made the transition of reinitiating my plan with Alberta Blue Cross seamless and smooth! I greatly appreciate Jennifer’s excellent customer service!

I just got off the phone with Stephen Pearce whom I swear was one of the most personable, knowledgeable, and helpful people I have *ever* had the pleasure of speaking with. I learned that Stephen has been doing this job at Blue Cross for 21 years and he really knows his stuff. You’d think after repeating the same info for that long it would make one sound somewhat robotic, but Stephen was enthusiastic, friendly, and truly got me excited about The Retiree Plan that I just signed up for and by the time I hung up I felt like I had been speaking with a friend rather than a Sales Representative. If you (the reader) are lucky enough to connect with Stephen, you will definitely know what I mean.If you are nearing the age of 65 and are not familiar with The Retiree Plan, do yourself a huge favor and just call Blue Cross to discuss it. You will be pleasantly surprised to learn how comprehensive the coverage is and how affordable it is. Switching to this plan has literally saved me thousands of dollars from my previous coverage from my other 3 Rx/Dental/Travel companies.Thank you Stephen.
