Ijaz Mohammad S Dr Neurologist

Been recovering from Bells Palsy and he says well it’s not like your a model. Took 6 months to get in to see him and this is his bedside manner. Got more info from google than from him. Never checked my muscle movement or any advice on tenderness from the nerves or anything. Or what could help get my face back to normal. Complete waste of time.

Ijaz is an amazing Doctor. Too bad his receptionist' unprofessionalism handles his other half of work. I wouldn't be surprised if some of his patients illness worsened or perhaps death were caused by her. One of the worse person to deal with.

Dr. Ijaz is decent, communicates with his patients which is quite rare.HOWEVER his staff is completely unqualified to be in the Healthcare industry. She is rude beyond rude. My father passed away suddenly, 4 days after having a EEG. We called to see if we could have the results explained to us. Perhaps there was a clue in that test as to why. Shockingly the receptionist did not express ANY condolences nor did she offer to send us the report. Or offer any help at all. Why are individuals like this permitted to be in an environment that needs, deserves care, compassion and empathy.

Dr Ijaz is not a bad doctor.His receptionist, on the other hand, is very incompetent and should not be dealing with the public. She always seems to be on the other" line when you call. I have left messages

The reviews here and on rate MD are not lying. The admin/receptionist is extremely miserable and unfriendly.Edit: I gave up calling after months and it's been around 3.5 months later and have still not heard back. I've since had another Neurologist take me on. The admin person has likely caused people their lives or their conditions to worsen due to her lack of communication skills and behavior towards patience. Keep following up and be persistent, do not take her word that she is communicating with the doctor. She should not be in the role she is in!

i’ve been seeing ijaz for 2 years for IIH. it’s not a well known disease and i can tell he doesn’t know much about it. i’ve learned more reading papers and documents i can access through being a student at the U of R and finding other people who have this and am on the same medication as me than i have through our conversations.i told him about side effects i’m having (meat intolerance - leading me to happily become a vegetarian, lack of fluid in my body, bones cracking that NEVER crack, etc.). diamox is not a friendly drug and all he told me was to watch out for tingling hands and feet. didn’t seem to tell me about liver diseases, kidney stones, and a list as long as a scroll out of a movie. he says diamox is the only treatment and says i’ll need surgery if it doesn’t work (not true, there’s other medications and methods, not just a shunt). i don’t appreciate that as it can easily scare someone. i panicked after my diagnosis for a good 2 months because of my experience and lack of knowledge from ijaz.not only does he seem to not listen to me, he also criticized me for being a vegetarian (not enough nutrients, lol) and for not wanting children at 27 years old (i’m poor and don’t want the added stress - not to mention he knows i’m mentally ill and have adhd). he said “god can do amazing things” when i said no to children and i’m not religious so that also irked me. basically - he says things that have NOTHING to do with my brain, neurology, or health. we talk more about this stuff than IIH and potential vision loss.his receptionist is also rude, doesn’t care, doesn’t answer the phone, and takes forever to get your medication to the pharmacy.worst experience i’ve ever had with doctors, especially someone who is specialized.

Aviod this Dr at all cost, not bc of the Dr but bc of the receptionist. She is rude, she lies about communicating anything to the Dr. She needs to be fired and reported to the College and/or Physicians.

The receptionist never answer the line or listen to the voice mail as least to me as I have called five times in one day and left voice mail. On the same day afternoon when I was just street away from the clinic I decided to walk in and see if I can have a short talk to dr. Ijaz . Then I surprisedly saw the receptionist just hided behind the desk leave the phone ringing. A person who does not have sympathy shouldn’t work in health industry. I would rate dr. Ijaz five star and his receptionist deserves minus 100000000

Terrible doctor. He didn't listen to me at all. Prescribed medication and sent me home. Didnt fax my prescription to the pharmacy until i phoned 2 hours later. Still took him another hour to fax it over. Screwed up the prescription. A month later and 3 different days of phoning in and trying to get the prescription fixed or to talk to him and nothing. Get a different recommendation if you can.

I was refereed to Dr. Ijaz from my family doctor. I was in a car accident 2 years ago and suffer from serious chronic pain in my spine. The pain causes severe migraines leaving me in crippling pain daily. My doctors told me there was nothing I could do, live with it. I asked to get seen by a neurologist. He was the most polite, well mannered man I had ever met. He listened to my condition, he asked questions and he gave me hope. There is a lot that hasn't been tried
