I’ve been coming here for years- since before the name change and move. I worked across the street from them for years and originally came for convenience. But I keep coming back because I always get great service and fabulous hair! Everyone that works here is lovely, warm, friendly and professional.

HIGHLY recommend Taproot Salon for anyone looking for a professional and welcoming experience in a beautiful setting. This is the most comfortable I have ever been in a hair salon (I often feel a little intimidated for some reason). Walking in the door, each member of staff made me feel welcome - showed me where to hang my coat, gave me a robe to put on, led me to my chair and offered me a cup of herbal tea. I felt like I was being welcomed into someone’s home.The space is beautiful, full of life and colour, lots of plants and cheeky artisan pottery and gift cards. (Bought my husband a mug for Father’s Day, LOVE it) Extra bonus points for the gorgeous bathroom! Incredible feature wall, and stylish fixtures. Seriously, the bathroom alone would encourage me back to this space!The owner - Sally - made me feel relaxed and empowered about my haircut choices. She is incredibly knowledgeable, and informed me of various colour and style options without being pushy. Felt super comfortable asking questions and showing her pictures for reference. She offered a bang trim if I got home and wanted it a bit shorter, which I did about a week later after living with the cut. No stress or fuss, super simple to arrange, and felt totally welcomed back. Overall a fantastic experience. LOVE my haircut, but more than that, LOVED the whole experience created by Sally and her team. THANK YOU Taproot, we are so fortunate to have you in the neighbourhood. See you soon!

Sally and all of the stylists are super professional. Their attention to detail is next level and they make sure everything is perfect. I get my hair colored here every few months and I’m always so happy with the results.

Got my bangs done here, and booking was fast and the stylist did an amazing job, the inside of the shop is also very beautiful! Right on commercial so street parking but it was cheap and convenient, great location.

Everyone at Taproot is so professional and welcoming, it really sets a high bar for a good customer experience at a hair salon. It is a very beautiful salon; very colourful, clean, airy, and open.Jillian is a fantastic stylist. She listened and was able to achieve the looks I wanted, and was very considerate of my hair's history. She was very warm and engaging , but never to the point where small talk felt forced.

I’ve been going to Jane for years — started with when they were Manifesto Salon. Always top notch service from everyone there and Jane does a great job at cutting and styling my hair. I’ve been to other places but no one can get my curly hair quite like Jane does, perfect every time!Atmosphere is awesome and there’s a nice selection of Aveda care products as well as some locally made items for sale.

Tried to make nice with the manager/front person as it is the second mug with a tempering flaw. As I did not chose this mug, it was thrust at me as my ironic option. I would not get your mug supply here, maybe a shot to the ego. Yes pottery can fail and potters know this. If the potter would like to improve their game they can have the broken remnants as I offered last time. It appears to be a mug from Prince George, The wheel house studio , please don’t rush production and have it cost working customers.

Beautiful salon! Sally did a wonderful job with my hair and was lovely to chat with. Overall a very welcoming and calming space and excellent service.

I have gotten several haircuts here and have always appreciated the thoughtful consultations, skillful stylists and overall good vibes of the salon. At my last appointment, Olga cut and styled my hair. She was so helpful and created the perfect cut for me. Since then I've gotten several compliments on my pixie cut and can't recommend Taproot highly enough!
