It was an honor to be able to visit this Baha'i Shrine. It is also the home of architect William Sutherland Maxwell, who designed the wings of the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City. Most of the furnishings have been preserved in their original condition. The shrine is open to the public and there is a host that can offer a guided tour.

In a world where accountability in leadership, practicing of what's preached, and finding truly inclusive, egalitarian, representative, faith groups harder to come by, the Bahai faith / scriptures offer a truly inspirational model of leadership that enpowers its laity, practices tolerance and promotes intercultural and inter faith dialogue, while also walking thé talk on building inclusive communities at local level.

Well-preserved early 1900's home of a prominent Montreal architect (Sutherland Maxwell) which holds historical and spiritual significance for the international Bahá'í community.

Montréal Bahá'í Shrine
Open Wednesdays and Saturdays, its free and you can schedule a slot from their website.Still require masks when indoors which is odd given covid is no longer classified by the World Health Organization as a pandemic and Canadian government regulations do not require masks indoors.
