SO MUCH YESSucceda is one of the best Italian restaurants in Canada. My experience here has been nothing but fantastic. Their focaccia is among the best I've had, and we even picked up some Dolce and Gabbana panettone here too. Super nice people and excellent food.Edited May 1, 2023:Succeda continues to be one of the best restaurants within an hour of Montreal. The people are amazing and the food is absolutely superb. Succeda is always worth the drive.

After reading the reviews I was truly expecting a great experience. Sadly that wasn’t the case. I went for dinner last night and walked in to find a beautiful spot with a few tables taken. I was so excited to find such a charming and relaxed vibe restaurant in the area. Then comes our waitress Karine, she seemed annoyed to serve us throughout the evening. Any question we asked her she seemed bothered by us, she preferred standing in a corner with her colleagues chatting. The food was very mediocre and EXTREMELY oily. The only good plate we got was the beet salad. Once we received our pasta we weren’t offered black pepper nor Parmesan cheese, in fact someone else brought us our main meals and she made sure to pass near our table pretending we weren’t there. When I FINALLY grabbed her attention I asked her for Parmesan cheese and she looked at me as if she had no idea what that was, then proceeded to stand at the entrance and continue talking to a group of her colleagues. Basically I never got my Parmesan cheese AND we had to ask someone else for our bill since she avoided us the entire evening. It’s safe to say we’ll never be going back there again. Sadly staff like Karine should not be serving people since she seems constantly annoyed by her job. Extremely unprofessional and rude. The only thing that crossed my mind as to why she was being very rude was the fact that my father spoke to her in English since he’s not very comfortable speaking French. I work in the service business and would NEVER EVER mistreat people or ignore them or be rude due to the language they prefer to speak. All this to say, not only was the service horrible but the food was beyond overrated and extremely oily. I’ve never had a focaccia with a half inch pool of olive oil in the centre. Very sad to leave this review and very confused by the very positive ones.

I'm in love with Succeda. Attentive professional and friendly staff who present everything well. I like the whole space and design of the restaurant with a terrace. The food is amazing. I love homemade pasta in all ways. It's great that I can buy their products on the spot. I recommend 100% my favorite place

We have been coming to Succeda often because it’s just so amazing. Very unique service as the staff are very detailed and specific about their menu. Drinks and Wine are crazy amazing you have got to try all of them but the water lol ! A big thanks to the Family Succeda the staff is on point ! A very big thanks to Bastien for always taking care of us.

Feels great to be welcomed into a restaurant that actually wants you to hang around and enjoy your experience. This is not your typical 2-service turnaround eat-and-get-out trendy place (though it certainly looks the part, the decor is stunning!). Our waiter Giovanni asked us if we wanted to wait to finish our cocktails before ordering the main course, as the appetisers were quite generous.The wow could have stopped there - the 4 of us very rarely experienced such care - but that would leave out the food. Hand-made pasta, beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients - not at all the salt festival we typically expect from standard Italian fare. The waiter knew how to present his menu perfectly, including gluten-free and vegetarian options.Speaking of the cocktails, they were perfectly balanced, they have a good wine list and offer interesting Italian beer options on tap.We will most certainly be back again and try out the terrasse on beautiful summer nights. We really had a beautiful evening and a great experience. Merci équipe Succeda!

Pasta selection was fantastic, was a little disappointed that there were absolutely no meat options. We tasted quite a few pasta selections at our table of 3. We should have asked for the pastas to come out slower than they did cause as we reached the last plate it was not true to its taste. The server and wine man were very knowledgeable.

Can't even have the decency to reply to emails for a party reservation of 20 ppl. And then owner has the audacity to talk to you like garbage on the phone, saying she is busy and has her 3 kids with her. Get a grip! We will gladly bring our party elsewhere.

Amazing restaurant with nice atmosphere. Food is so authentic and mind blowing if you are a foodie. Service is excellent and the owner is usually there paying extra attention to all the customers. Its 6 times weve been now and its been excellent every time!Try the meat balls. Thank me later

Karen served us again and she recognized us... how nice! She was absolutely perfect. She was very professional and savvy about the all aspects of all dishes proposed on the menu. Focaccia with burrata was freshly made and so were our pasta dishes. Arrancini and polpetta (meat balls) were superb. We also consulted a very savvy young man for our wine choice. He recommended a perfect match for our food choices. Reasonably priced. Very nice terrace. Ambiance is quaint and classy. We love the place.
