The Chai spice mix is fantastic, as is the Dal Curried soup mix - both made by hand. The Garam Masala and hand made spice mixes (ground the day before I visited) are amazing.I go to this store every time I’m in town and I’m so grateful it’s here!

This is an awesome store! Went in there to purchase some spices to make a specific blend and the owner was super helpful. We talked about ingredients, prep methods, and he offered lots of very helpful advice. He has a lot of awesome top quality spices and ingredients. Will definitely be going back to this store.

Seems to have closed down (January 2023). Phone and FB page disconnected. Please let me know if they have moved. Was a loyal customer, then suddenly they disappeared.

Best butter chicken sauce! The owner is great, friendly and kind and always has little tips about spices and different ideas to try. Prices are very reasonable.

We pick up their curry spice mix and masala when we are in Nanaimo. Their spices are worth the trip. Too bad they aren't closer to Duncan.Update: The last time we visited the store they were out of the mild curry mix. The owner went in the back to mix up some spices and made us up a couple of packages. This new batch was far inferior in flavour to the excellent curry spice mixes we had previously bought off the shelf. Even the colour was different. We could have picked up similar quality curry spices at our local Superstore and saved money as well.

This place makes the best butter chicken sauce ever. Only problem is they will only sell you two. Very Very satisfied, the owner explained to me exactly how to use his butter chicken sauce.

I don't know how this place is still in business. I called to ask if they carry a certain product. He said yes. I drove 45 mins only for that man to say..They don't have it in stock & tried to sell something else to me. I asked then why did you say you have it. He gave some lame excuse. He repeated 14 times that the product am looking for is not always in demand. Honesty & integrity, both lacking.

We were in the area to go into another store, saw this one and went in on a whim.I have to say first off, the gentleman there was one of the finest, friendliest, welcoming and delightful shop owners I have ever met.Second to that, the selection and prices of his wares and spices is fantastic.In our era of pre packaged and big box garbage, it was a breath of fresh air to experience this store and it's masterful owner.

One of my fave stores in Nanaimo. Great selection of interesting spices and cookware. Could spend lots of time looking at everything. Loved the butter chicken sauce which is recommended. Owner is very friendly and helpful.
