White Point Beach Resort

Beach is beautiful! Serving staff were great!Sadly, the Mother's Day brunch not so wonderful. Most of the items on the hot buffet were cold, bacon wasn't cooked and baked items were dried out and fruit salad was 90% melon. What happened White Point? You used to have fabulous brunches....

It was just OK.I've been hearing lots of great things about white point so expectations were high.I think there is a lot of nostalgia from families who grew up coming to this place when they were kids.It wasn't anything special. There weren't very many rabbits. The girl at registration actually said there were 7, we only saw 2.The main lodge was nice. The cabins by ocean were ok. The ocean was beautiful.All said, I would probably go back, as places for family outings are limited in Nova Scotia.

Great staff, location, food and vibe! I stay often with a package where all my meals are included and this is definitely my favourite Nova Scotia resort. So many things to do on site and get lost in it’s therapeutic nature!Some rooms are a little dated but everything else makes up for it.

First time visiting White Point. We stayed in an ocean front cottage, which was nice. First dinner at Elliots, which is in the main lodge. The food was amazing; I wish I could have rated it. Definitely had to post the pictures. Jen was a great server and was friendly and pleasant. Looking forward to the following days.

Love this place! Great for kids, dogs and older people. You can be as active as you want with surfing, boating, tennis and golf to name a few options. Rather relax? Hang out on the beach or in the lounge, read and enjoy the food.

I want to like this place. I really do. On paper, White Point is the perfect destination for a family vacation in Nova Scotia. Twice my son and I have stayed at this resort over the last several years and the quality and value for money seem to have gotten worse over time. The cottages and rooms we’ve stayed in were shabby, the ping pong table in the games room is in bad shape, the inside pool area is uncomfortably cold and has broken equipment, the WiFi network is frustratingly unstable, and the food is hit or miss and very expensive. The staff are lovely and the one or two rabbits still hanging around are a treat to see. Still, I can’t justify the high prices for the just-okay quality of the experience. White Point doesn’t live up to its own hype, unfortunately.

I was there for a wedding and while it is a bit out if the way, you could not ask for a more beautiful and serene location for one. The staff took care of guests with mobility issues and served a very nice meal. The views, beyond the happy couple of course, were stunning.

Without being too harsh, we felt it didn’t quite meet expectations based on what’s presented online. Our room was very basic, tired, and in need of refreshing. We were travelling with our dog, and we’ve stayed in many places where the “dog rooms” were every bit as nice as a regular room. This wasn’t the case at White Point. Also, the woman who checked us in was quite terse. I can see this facility being excellent for family vacations, weddings, etc. maybe just not for a couples getaway celebrating a birthday where the goal is to “wow” your partner.

The area is very nice. It's a stoney beach so don't count on sitting in the sand, and the water is very cold. The fresh water lake is really nice though. The bunnies were very over advertised. We saw 2 the entire time and they don't let you get close. Very kid friendly though, especially if you have multiple kids who can entertain themselves.The rooms have paper thin walls so I recommend a cabin if you don't like listening to all the conversations next door. WiFi was spotty at best and cell service was barely usable. It was all pretty acceptable except for... the food. Very expensive and not very good. Especially the pub fare. Highly recommend going into town to eat if your tastes are a little more blue collar or you don'tlike seafood.
