I'm very critical of all my reviews and I gotta say I wont take my pets to any other vet in the lower mainland and I never will if I have a choice. this vet provides the best service and cares for your animals. Its the only vet i've ever found that I actually like and trust. This team is purely amazing. Your animals in the best of care here

I am so incredibly grateful for Dr. Ina and everyone at the Barn Door Vet. I had been searching for a good, knowledgeable and caring for vet for quite some time, before finding Dr. Ina. My dog and cats have had many issues as they age, and I always find the support, caring and guidance at The Barn Door Vet to be exceptional. Their warmth, combined with their knowledge and loving care, puts me at ease, knowing we are in great hands. My cats used to get very stressed when taken to the vet and they don’t anymore, which says a lot. Dr. Ina and everyone else there have gone above and beyond for my family, and I highly recommend them for anyone searching for an excellent, trustworthy vet.

I did not want to write this but I got an email from them that made me to do so. Around 2 weeks ago I called this place to book a rabies vaccine for my cat, the receptionist said the health exam is $96 and the rabies vaccine is $35.I even called two times to make sure. On the day of appointment the young girl vet came and barely did anything, she did not even do a complete check up and she was trying to sell us some medications and products which were not even necessary! which of course we refused. They charged us $165 and when I asked the rude receptionist can you give me the detailed receipt she said you will get it by email! again I asked her to print it! in my receipt the charged me $61 for the rabies vaccine!!!!!!!!!! they said some sort of lies but eventually they refunded $20! Today I got this email from them that they terminated my cat's care because they dont think I trust them, of course we don't trust you ,when the only thing you think about is money and your pocket!!!!!!!I would not come back ever again because you are not trustworthy!!!!!

I brought my senior dog here for the first time because she was having tooth pain therefore I was anticipating she would need to have teeth extracted. The staff and Dr. Ina are very friendly and we felt welcomed at the vet.My review reflects my experience during the consultation and costs.Dr. Ina quickly and barely looked at my pets teeth. She immediately decided that all of her teeth needed to be extracted. What I didn’t like was how she was trying to convince me to have their doctor do my dogs dental extractions. It felt like a sales pitch to me. This consultation cost $100.80 including taxes.Later, I received a detailed quote between $2400-$4000 including taxes for the surgery. I contacted several other vets in the Lower Mainland for quotes and a second opinion. They would not have charged as much however it was still expensive.My partner found a vet in Calgary that capped their dental extraction surgery at $750. Round trip, surgery, and accommodation cost less than what Barn Door quoted me. Also, all of her teeth did not have to be extracted.I have no doubts that the Barn Door team do great work but there are a lot of great vets out there. My advice is to shop around if you have concerns on affordability.

I can't find the words to describe the dedication of the staff and Dr Ina to the animals. You can see that the way they handle your cat or dog is as if it were there own!I like the follow up calls and attention to the wellbeing of my cat before and after surgery.Highly recommended place!

Dr. Ina & her team at Barn Door are so caring & patient with my nervous pups. I really feel that they treat my pups like their own and care about their long-term well-being. I learn something about my dogs/dog health from Dr. Ina everytime and really appreciate the time she spends with me and each of my dogs in their respective sessions.

Thank goodness we found Dr Ina and her wonderful clinic!Both my dog and cats have visited now for their regular, annual visits. We love the low stress practices and approach to high standards of medicine.When my dog had an emergency after eating things she shouldn't have, we were able to be seen that morning (please call ahead so they can fit you in), received top level care right away and were able to help Porter out and feel better!We paid our bill and were able to get all the documents to submit our pet insurance claim. Porter feels so much better :)
