Great service, utilized them as a person visiting from out of Province. I utilized the services a few times, connecting from outside our hotel (The Empress) was amazing as no wait however when trying to book from a different location (such as a beach for 5 people) turned into a near 2 hour wait and result of cancellation of one of the two cabs ordered on one occasion.I do not think this was a result of Blue Bird Cabs in of itself, but a result of poor city planning for taxi services in general.I truly appreciated the food and site seeing recommendations that were often provided and great conversations.The cars were clean and costs fair.Will use again next time I am in Victoria, BC.

So I called for a pick up downtown to a drop off location also downtown today and the driver was extremely inappropriate with that the drop off location as it was still downtown. The driver refused to drop me off at my requested location as it inconvenienced him. When you pick up passengers, regardless of where they are going. Your frustration should not be taken out on the customer who is paying for your service.In addition your attitude was completely unprofessional and will negatively impact your business in the future. If you can't handle customers who need to go downtown, then maybe driving a taxi is not the right job for you. Customers have the right to choose their destination and expect to be treated with respect and courtesy.I hope that in the future, you can put aside your personal frustrations and maintain a professional demeanor. Your customers deserve that level of service and respect. As a solo female traveling alone today I will not be using this company in the future.Trip ID#495700

I find Bluebird to be very hit or miss. 5 times I have booked a cab at least an hour in advance and they’ve been more than 20 minutes late or just not shown up at all. I missed an important medical appointment because the cab I booked never arrived (it was on a Tuesday around 22:30 pm so not peak hours at all). Recently though I’ve found them to be a lot more reliable

I wouldn't rate the entire company on one driver experience, after getting picked up at the ferry terminal the driver was visibly upset that it was going to be a short trip into Sidney and drove at excessive speeds and drove me through my residential area at twice the posted speed, drove past me house, I told him slow you just missed the house and then nothing but attitude.At your next team meeting, I would suggest a refresher on customer service, I always tip well knowing that it is a short trip, not this time.

We used the taxi service to get back to our cruise ship. My phone fell out of my pocket in the backseat. I didn’t notice until after he drove off. With the help of a young man who worked at the pier, the dispatch was contacted and all drivers were alerted. Our driver drove back without customers to return my phone. Everyone went above and beyond. Thank you car 145. You are a wonderful person!

Would not recommend services. Just got out of cab 12. Extremely rude driver. Driver only wanted to charge fixed rate for ride because he said we are tourists and that’s what they do. I insisted on using meter after arguing with him. Meter rate was half of his fixed price rate. Bad image for city that taxis taking advantage of tourists. Driver kept questioning our destination and then refused to take us to our downtown location as he said there’s too much traffic and he needs to make money. Was not dropped off at location but instead several blocks away which was not right especially traveling with a person with a disability. This city needs Uber so at least there are standards and accountability. Extremely poor service with Bluebird.

Based on the driving habits I’ve seen today from taxi #3 and #106, I would not recommend ANYONE to use this taxi service. #3 cut me off on the Pat Bay Highway today, changing lanes with barely enough room in front of me and #106 was tailgating me and erratically changed to the inside lane to pass on the right even though I was driving with the flow of traffic. I would hate to be a passenger of these cabs.

The operators are usually helpful; most of the drivers are terrible - this is almost ten years of using their services for lack of better options. If it's not reckless driving, it's being rude, late, standoffish, or just flat out unprofessional. Last night, in an attempt to get home, two cabs called me after having accepted the job and promptly cancelled because my journey wasn't far enough. Thanks Cab 31 for leaving me stranded and hanging up on me. According to the operator, they are not allowed to do that and received a 15 minute penalty of not being able to take jobs. Unfortunately, Victoria does not have a lot of reliable transportation.I'm just waiting for the day that Uber makes it to the island.

Spoke to someone tonight who claimed they were the manager, I have truly never had such a terrible response from someone over the phone. After being grilled about my apartment number (why does that matter), I simply asked for a time approximation so I could be ready to catch the ride I was asking for and I was told they did not know, and that they could not give me a time estimate of any sort. This was also expressed with extreme attitude, after asking to speak to the manager because of the response I was given, I was told by the apparent manager that “maybe I should listen”. I was then hung up on. After that my friend called back and was greeted by a lovely woman, who gave us a simple time estimate of 15-30 minutes which was fantastic. I would suggest blue bird gets a new manager before their current one scares off all potential customers. I’ve never been spoken to so rudely.
