A beautiful place for walks, especially enjoyed the evening stroll and sunset view. Waiting and look forward to the cherry tree blooms.

Incredible! Moved here recently and it has been spectacular. Everyone is so friendly and the City Of Markham addresses the problems of resident. Lower taxes, well maintained neighborhoods, and diversity.

It was such a treat for me to discover this nice small pond behind the Markham Civic Centre. I really enjoy this nice view and piece of quiet. There is a skating rink next to the pond. It is open for ice skating in winter and skate boarding & roller blading in the spring summer time. It’s also a perfect route for a short walk & get some fresh air. You can start from Unionville High School (Warden Entrance) > Markham Civic Centre > FLATO MarkhamTheatre and end at Unionville High School (Front Entrance). Definitely recommend if you live near the Town Centre Blvd neighbourhood.

they cant even mind their OWN parkinglot, cars just block ev charging spot everyday. How do you expect them to handle parking violation in your neighborhood..

Poor service. Went to pay property tax. I did not have tax form with me. They wanted to charge me 29 dollars for tax form so I can make payment. All they had to do was look it up and make an payment.

The animal control is absoluty useless, the bylaw officer is heartless. Everyone will meet desperate monement, I do hope that happen to them, so they will know how that feels!!!

This is not just a city hall per say, it's a community on its own with the Flato Markham Theatre located right next to it that host live concerts, school productions, awards shows.Then, you can walk outdoors and enjoy the park with art installations throughout and the blossom trees located along a particular section.In the summer, you can enjoy the water fountain and geese and birds flying with beautiful flowers and in the winter, the pond turns into a skating rink.Lots of festivals and events happening here as well with ample of parking spots. Great for family outings and date nights taking a stroll around the property.

Huge parking lot, next to school and Flat theatre. There is a outdoor skating rink in winter.This place is popular for taking pictures because it has a beautiful scene, especially after wedding.

The Markham Ice and Snow Festival is presented in co-operation with the City of Markham and the Harbin People's Government. The Markham Ice and Snow Festival is hosted outside the Markham Civic Centre from February 9th to 19th, 2019.The Markham Ice and Snow Festival features work by renowned artists from Harbin, China. Somehow, I expected to see something a bit more impressive. After all the Harbin Festival is very impressive indeed. As a reminder, in 2007, the Harbin Festival featured a Canadian themed sculpture, in memoriam of Canadian doctor Norman Bethune. It was awarded a Guinness World Record for the world's largest snow sculpture, measuring 250 meters in length, 8½ meters high and was made from over 13.000 cubic metres of snow.The festival is meant to promote the municipal friendships between the City of Markham and the City of Harbin, China. I am looking forward to a repeat next winter!

Went to my first city budget meeting. Interesting to see how council work. Although it was alarming to hear how much decisions by @fordnation is going to cost taxpayers.There could have been better signage. Most of us had to ask for direction.
