Value Village
This store has gone from small but manageable, to a crowded hellscape. The aisles used to be passable in width. There used to be fitting rooms. The prices used to be reasonable. The store's layout has been redesigned to narrow each aisle to the point where you can't walk without bumping into others. It's just gross the lack of consideration the management has for its customers. Avoid this store.

I wanted to go to value village for a long time. I checked out the art market and they have really nice things. There’s also a lot of antique stores to check out. I also tried the cheese sandwich place. I had a good time exploring on my own and checking out everything I wanted to check out.

This was my first time visiting this store. I am an infrequent shopper at thrift stores but found this location to be of a decent size, clean and well organized. They even had a fairly decent section of electronics - which included chargers and cords.

Great shop to kill some time in! Pretty good staff too, I actually took off my personal item to try stuff on and lost it (my own fault) and a few staff members actually helped me look for it

Like all these stores, timing is everything, you just happen to be there when there's something that's perfect or you need. I've found some really good stuff here, other times, nothing. Big parking lot out back as well, which is unusual for these stores, especially in this location, you can enter via the parking lot or the front door on Queen. I love going to this location, and I've donated a lot of stuff too, nice way to spend an hour or so.

I find there prices for plus size clothes a bit much but then again they try to charge like 4.99 for something that is from the dollarama. Toy section is like a play area for kids. When they bring out more stuff on the trolleys grown as men/people crowd the poor staff before there even a foot out from the back. Workers are friendly but certainly know how to make a person feel uncomfortable by noticeably following and watching you “I’m sorry but I maybe in the store for hours sometimes mostly cause I can’t find stuff that would fit (no change room) or I’m trying to waste time it’s better then stuck in a room in the shelter I stay at. Heck sometimes I’m bored and fix half hung clothes..

Good thrift store and very large. You can find some stuffs very cheap but still workable or beautiful to wearing. Moreover, here's a lot of furniture, Books, kitchenwares, footwear, accessories, appliances. And if you donate your second hand stuffs, they will give you a coupon codes for discount on your next order. That's really cool and it's worth it.

Pros: they made the best use of the space they had, good location, some of the staff are friendly, there's the occasional great find if you're lucky and patient.Cons: the store/clothes smell more strongly than thrift stores typically do, the aisles are too narrow, be mindful of some of the shoppers - I saw a loud drunk lady get half naked to her bare chest, place her clothes on the rack & put on a shirt from the hangers - I didnt see her take her clothes back from the rack when I left.I should probably give it a 2 star, but I understand some of their limitations are circumstantial. I wish they'd do something about the smell tho. Not likely to visit again.

Rating: ★★★★★Value Village in Leslieville has become my go-to thrift store, and I couldn't be happier with the experiences I've had there. As an avid donator, I'm always on the lookout for places that not only accept donations but also appreciate their patrons. And let me tell you, Value Village in Leslieville goes above and beyond! One of the standout features of this store is their incredible generosity when it comes to donations. Every time I've donated my belongings here, they've rewarded me with a coupon. It's heartwarming to know that by clearing out my unwanted items, I'm not only making a positive impact on the environment but also getting a little something in return.Stepping into the store, the first thing that strikes you is its cleanliness. The aisles are well-organized, and the displays are meticulously arranged. It's a refreshing change from the cluttered chaos often associated with thrift stores. Value Village in Leslieville takes pride in maintaining a neat and welcoming environment, making it a pleasure to browse through their vast selection.Speaking of selection, this thrift store is a treasure trove of goodies! From clothes to computers, monitors to toys, art to books, you name it, they have it. The variety is simply staggering, and it's easy to get lost in the myriad of choices. Whether you're looking for a unique vintage outfit, searching for an affordable electronic device, or simply hoping to stumble upon hidden gems, this store has it all.But what truly sets Value Village in Leslieville apart is its staff. The friendly and helpful employees make the shopping experience even more enjoyable. They're always ready to assist, whether it's helping you locate a specific item or answering questions about the store's policies. Their enthusiasm for their work shines through, and their dedication to customer satisfaction is commendable. Now, let's talk about the foot traffic. On a Sunday, the store is bustling with activity. It's clear that Value Village in Leslieville has a loyal following, and for good reason. The sheer number of people exploring the aisles and filling their shopping carts speaks volumes about the store's popularity. Either I am getting bigger or the store is getting smaller! Every single time I visit, the aisles have been narrowed even further and more racks added. If you have a BMI of say, 23 or over or have a mobility device, there is no way in hell you can comfortably navigate this store. It's an accessibility nightmare. Eliminate the full size shopping carts (the aisles aren't wide enough to properly accommodate one, let alone multiple shoppers) and switch to the smaller plastic baskets. Not sure what it is about Leslieville but customers are always way pushier and lacking in spatial awareness than at any other location I've visited. It's a shame about the Queen East store, because the stock at this location is fantastic, there is just too much of it stuffed into the space they have, so it makes for a frazzled shopping experience.
