Food was fantastic. Quaint little restaurant on the edge of Brantford. Appetizer was awesome but would like to see 4 pieces for sharing instead of three pieces. See pic of appetizer. My wife had a club sofa. $3.25 seems steep to me. Pizza was awesome and my wife loved her shrimp pasta.Overall great experience

Astonishingly delicious! A deceptively, quiet looking place that is really a gastronomic delight. Lamb chops may be best I've ever had anywhere in the world, panko-breaded chicken breast was perfect and pork medallions, divine. Salads were ...:( Caesar had odd taste & overdressed & Garden, drowning in oil but I'll be back for more mains.Super-pleasant staff with real small-town friendliness.

It may look simple on the outside but inside is a very tasteful decor bringing you to a little bistro in Italy. The service was exceptional, attentive without hovering. Be prepared to show vac proof and ID, no biggie and worth that entry fee for a superb meal!! The Aranchini was HOT and delicious and cooked to perfection and the sauce is the best we’ve ever tasted! The lasagna and the Filomena were DELICIOUS! I don’t think we needed any further proof that any dish you order will be wonderful. I will drive two hours to enjoy another meal there again! Worth the drive! No room for dessert but next time will sample that too! Thank you for a delicious and memorable evening! You have this down to perfection!

While staying away for a hockey tournament, we were looking for a nice place to have dinner. Gran Sasso came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. From the friendly staff, to the food, it was a great night. It is a family owned restaurant, and everyone was so nice. The food was delicious, especially the Pizzas. Anyone looking for a great meal in the Brantford area, please check out Gran Sasso!

Omg. Fantastic!! Have wanted to try this place for a long time. So frustrated with other restaurants who advertise as Italian and are not. This was the real deal. So so fresh. Lovely flavours ! Can't say enough about how great it was.We got the Arancini , gnocchi, spaghetti and meatballs , ragu and fettuccini.Highly recommend !

Finally went here with my son, Randy. Sharon Somerton (My “big sister”) and I were supposed to go after I moved to Brantford. Unfortunately, we never got the opportunity too.Sharon, always raved about this place. So when I went with my son last October I found out why.It’s small and you must make reservations. But it’s well worth the time and effort to get in. When we walked in we were greeted my a lovely young person. We did not wait long before someone was there to serve us.From looking around all were happy and enjoying the food. I certainly wanted to try many items they were eating.Randy and I didn’t have a lot of time so we got something light. In saying that, the pizza and bruschetta bread was so tasty. Absolutely perfectly done.The staff was fantastic and the room wasn’t small at all. It was just the right size for them. I very much enjoyed the short time we were there. Next time it’s some red wine and many more dishes to try from their menu.I will be back, Sharon was 100 percent correct about this place. Absolutely in my top 5 places to go for dinner.Thank you kindly. For the wonderful food and service.
