I went in last October, I was getting married and the wedding was being moved up by almost 3 weeks. It was the eleventh hour and my budget was thin. The gentlemen there (don't remember their names) did what they could to try and find me something off the rack. I unfortunately did not make a purchase but the courtesy and professionalism shown by the staff was appreciated. I will definitely be going back when I have the time to properly pick out some custom made suits.

I very rarely shop for dress clothes, but I decided to try shopping at a smaller, local store rather than one of the big guys this time and my expectations were exceeded by Ed Williams. I had the pleasure of being helped by Ed himself, and from the first to the last handshake, he was respectful, not pushy and made me feel very comfortable. I purchased two incredible pieces from them today and cannot wait to try on the clothes when the tailor is done working their magic. This is the shopping experience any man would appreciate.

My family and I have been going to Ed Williams for well over a decade. Lowell, Ed, Sterling and all of the staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. Lowell has assisted me with amazing clothing for every day life, business and many weddings. Recently I went to Ed Williams to find a suit for my own wedding. I have worked with Lowell for years and he knew exactly the style of suit I would love before I did. The Ed Williams team has exceeded my expectations every single time. Purchased my wedding suit here, the staff and service is fantastic. Mawi was great in helping pick the colour and style of my custom suit. They tailored it and my 2 shirts as well so it all fits perfectly and for someone who's quite tall, that's not easy. Well worth every penny. Would highly recommend. I have never had a suit that fit so well.

I have been spoiled in the past with a tailor I knew for years that would custom make my pants perfectly. Well, he retired and I knew Ed but never had need to see his store. Fast forward and I needed some new pants. I am not a fit off the rack and Lowell had to custom make them for me. His selection of fabrics is amazing. He did make me several pants and the material is great, the fit great and overall experience smooth and painless. So much so that I brought my youngest son in for two suits and he is a big guy that is hard to fit. All he could say was what a great experience and how much he loves his suits. And now he is recommending friends.If you are looking for really good quality men's wear, it isn't like a chain mall retailer. It costs more. And it is worth every cent.This is a store I will shop at loyally as I need more items.

Got a couple of custom suits from here years ago and was thrilled with the service I received and the quality of the suits. Initially I did notice that the lapels were popping out a little from the chest but the rep told me that was to be expected, ended up ignoring it at that time. Eventually needed some alterations a year or so later and when I came to pick up the jackets they would not sit right on my body, the main issue was the lapels were popping outwards from my chest by inches now. When I pointed this out to the tailor and another member of the team I was met with a plethora of reasons/excuses, that’s how the jacket should sit, that I had gained weight(enough weight to cause this to happen within 10 days?), I was also told I could just wear the jackets open.Had I known this would have happened I would not have taken advantage of their in house tailors and instead would have gone to see someone else. I haven’t been able to wear the suits for years and have taken the jackets to 3 different tailors in Toronto and all have said the same things: They did not account for my shoulder type(straight/flat) and that they couldn’t believe these 2 jackets were made and altered at the same times(they fit that different).The kicker is that when I did raise this issue to the staff at the store they told me that the fabrics were still available in the factory and that they could offer me 30% off to get new jackets made, obviously didn’t take them up on that because asking a client to pay more to fix your mistakes is just not right.

As soon as I entered Ed Williams Mens Wear, I knew that I was somewhere special and this was the place to find my wedding suit. Greeted by Lowell and his incredibly professional, knowledgeable and friendly team, my measurements were taken seamlessly and I proceeded to be fitted for a beautiful suit. While in the store, I also updated my wardrobe with a few beautiful shirts and pants. They have one of the best selections for mens wear in Calgary and the quality is outstanding. After another fitting for my suit, I was ready for the big day and received countless complements on my attire. At the wedding, I noticed one of my guests was dressed impeccably well. Of course he too had recently shopped at Ed Williams! Love this place!

These folks did a superb job of fitting my son for his first suit. The boy is too tall to get off the rack clothing Two salesmen worked together to assemble a suit, shirt, and shoes at a reasonable price point. They measured twice to make sure they got it right. Terrific job. This is a high-end tailor, so many of the clothes are expensive. Yet there are still sale items and bargains to be had. Great combination at Ed Williams of top quality clothing, excellent service, and reasonable price.
