The food was terrible. The sushi was not fresh. It was pre-made and left in the fridge. They had heated it up and served it. The shrimp tempura was not crispy. Even the Wasabi and pickled ginger was old. So disappointed. Do not recommend. You can just buy a box of sushi from Walmart.

I have been dining at this authentic Japanese restaurant for over 10 years and have had great experience. The menu is amazing! The sushi chef(s) are professional. The service is excellent and attentive. I always look forward to my next dining experience at the restaurant.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!! We were seated right away, however we waited 30 minutes before staff would even acknowledge our existence! We placed an order for all you can eat on the tablet. 2 separate parties came in after us and got served within minutes of placing their order. They made no eye contact with us, and after 30 minutes we asked to speak to the waitress .No apology, no reason, NOTHING. She just stared at us blankly like a deer caught in the headlights. We asked why they were ignoring us and didn't notice that we had no food. They had absolutely no response.If the ordering tablet wasn't working, they should have given us a new one. After they accepted the order via tablet. 3 dishes came to the table. It was hard, cold and tasteless. We decided not to stay and tapped the tablet to speak with the staff. No one came. We had to flag down a waitress again. They wanted us to pay full price for uneaten terrible food. The waitresses only paid attention to us when we said we were leaving.This place used to be nice, and the staff used to be very hospitable. I will NEVER go to this restaurant again. Save your money and go to Makimono.

The food over all was pretty good except for the beef sashimi dishe. It’s impossible to chew through it. The staffs was very quick on taking the empty plate off the table. The hot food items came very quickly but sashimi and sushi took a bit longer.

We stopped by here for lunch before going to Oshawa. I searched for a sushi restaurant on Google and I didn't expect it at all. But the all-you-can-eat lunch was great. Even though it was lunch, sashimi was served and the fish was in good condition. Sushi and roll were also delicious. I had a pleasant meal after a long time. If you need to stop by Azex, I recommend this restaurant not far from the highway.

Outstanding experience! The service was so great. The food was okay, not comparable to the top 3 I have had though.It’s the first place I have been treated so well. They even let us take the all you can eat sushi we couldn’t finish to go.The sushi and the sashimi we took home was still edible 3 days after, not bad.I would suggest upgrading to an electronic ordering system to keep up with the technological demand.I would recommend, you won’t go wrong.

Really disappointed with my experience here today. I have been a customer for years and despite not being the best sushi it’s close to me so I get it often.Today I placed a phone order and it went like this.Me: Hi, can I please place an order for two salmon hand rolls and two spicy salmon hand rolls?Woman on the phone: Two spicy salmon hand rolls and two salmon sushi rolls?Me: No. All hand rolls. Two spicy salmon and two just salmon.I pay, grab the food and open it as soon as I get back car because my kid was so hungry. I see two spicy salmon hand rolls and two orders of salmon sushi rolls. I bring it back in and tell her I think they made a mistake, I ordered two salmon hand rolls and two spicy salmon hand rolls.I get it, mistakes happen but it’s the way she responded that I have a problem with. She goes “no that’s what you ordered.” I again repeated my order to her and she said “so what do you want!?” At this point I’ve told her what I wanted several times. The two men behind the counter were the ones who basically told her to stop and they made the order correctly. She then passes it to me saying nothing and I begin walking out until the man making the sushi tells her that they owe me money because the price is different. She then goes and calculates the difference and gives me back the correct change. Which she wasn’t even going to do until he told her to.As soon as I left I decided I’d be taking my business somewhere else next time but the quality of the sushi definitely solidified that. Salmon is my sons favourite food but he was spitting it out because it had all these chewy dark pieces on it that should have been cut off. Never had that anywhere else. I miss the old staff.
