Edmonton Area Family Doulas

My husband and I could not be more pleased the wonderful service and support we received through Edmonton Area Family Doulas. We did the labour and delivery package and were thrilled with the advice provided by our doula team, it really helped us prepare for our first child and feel ready to welcome her into the world. April was our doula on the day of labour and delivery and was soo supportive. She made both me and my husband feel at ease with a process that was new and scary for the both of us. We delivered a healthy baby girl and have appreciated the extra support with any questions we have had since her birth. We also did the newborn care class through the company and learned a lot of good information that is helping us care for our daughter. Highly recommend this company!

Having a postpartum doula was by far the best decision we made before having our first baby! We worked with Carol and could not be more happy and thankful for the support she provided us! She helped us with breastfeeding, general support so we could cuddle with baby and was a wealth of knowledge! My husband and I had such a great experience with April and Bry!Bry was so supportive during my labour and delivery that I was able to have the experience I was hoping to have. Both of them checked in with us in the first couple of weeks postpartum. It was so nice having someone ask us how we were doing and providing knowledge to any questions we had. Such a positive experience!

The newborn care seminar was just the right amount of information without being overwhelming. It was pretty informative and I'm going into future motherhood tonight more confident and less afraid than I was before. I enjoyed todays lessons today with Carol :)

Our first experience with Edmonton Area Family Doulas was so wonderful, that we called them again for our second! April and Bri were amazing the first time around, staying with me through a relatively longer labour. My second baby would have arrived before my midwife if it weren't for April's effective tactics! April has been a wonderful support for our family. She is warm, supportive, and thoughtful. I highly recommend April and her team.

My husband and I took the newborn care essentials class hosted by April, and I would recommend that any new parents to-be take this class. It was well-rounded, informative and helped to set realistic expectations for anyone entering this part of their lives. Both my husband and I felt like we got the most out of the course and felt more prepared after.We are also clients with a doula team, expecting our first baby at the end of August, and that experience so far has been hands down, one of the best investments we could have made for us as new parents. Thank you April and her entire team for the warmth and positivity throughout our journey so far!

I love the services provide by Bryanna very professional and clean. Personally the placenta encapsulation should be a most for all mammas out there. I didn’t do it with my first baby only with the second and I regret not knowing about this with my firstborn. I noticed a profound impact on my faster recovery after c-sec and also on my mood! We have had a wonderful experience with Edmonton Area Family Doulas and I cannot recommend them enough. As first time parents, we are so grateful to our Doulas, Michelle and Emily for their support throughout the pregnancy and birth of our son. They were available to my husband and I for any questions prior to delivery. They met with us to further discuss our birth wishes and how they can support us when the time came. Their support during labour and delivery was invaluable as well as the postpartum followup.We also took both the Childbirth Education and Newborn Care and learnt a lot from both classes. 10/10 would recommend.

My Fiance as I took the Birth and Delivery class as well as the Newborn class. April the Owner taught at both classes. She is chalked full of information and will be raw and straight up about it !I took forever trying to comb through the AHS and medical staff lead classes and just felt I needed to take a chance with a Doula led class because I wanted someone to speak to me in language I would understand. I'm so glad we did !We are due in about 12 days and I could not be happier with the knowledge and information April set us up with.Highly recommend to anyone who wants to hear it how it is and get answers in a way you can understand and relate to.
