Customer service is top notch

After asking for a quote on a new property on which I was in the process of purchasing they added to my file, without even telling me, that I had moved out to another property as my primary residence. Then they told me that my car policy would get cancelled since I wasn't living on the same province anymore and they would charge me 3x more because my house would be vacant.They called me in the middle of something pressing trying to get answers for important questions without even trying to give me time to think about it, answers that I couldn't even provide at the moment. I would think that they would ask what is the most convenient time to talk about the subject with you, that maybe they would give you a heads up and send the questions by email so that you have time to read, think and answer... But no, the broker wanted the answers at that moment of the call. After that I was told I had 30 days to be insured with another company in Ontario, but then I receive an email from Intact saying that my policy was supposed to be cancelled today and the period was actually 15 days, not 30 as the broker told me. Now I'm gonna have a car that is not insured because I thought that I would have 30 days to take care of it and I haven't even received yet the documents from the SAAQ necessary for Ontario companies to approve my new policy. Did I ever received any email with the official date told by the agent regarding when my car policy would get cancelled? No.On top of that I was told by one of the employees that I would receive a call by 12pm today regarding the complaint made yesterday, I didn't receive any call either... Trying to get hold of them? Voicemail...My advice? Stay away from them.

I called twice for a quote they never called me back

I have been a client of this place for the past 7-8 years. Always received a good service... until this year. They issued me a 2020-2021 policy renewal for a yearly premium X. I accepted.A month INTO the contract this premium was increased by 23% WITHOUT ANY NOTICE. When I called and asked questions they blamed it all on Covid. Yeah, sure...Unprofessional, bogus answers, they'd rather lose a customer than $100.Avoid them at all costs!
