Chip Lake Park

Are you looking for great place to go camping and fishing? You should consider Chip Lake park. If you are a fan of campgrounds with nature between individual sites, a large lake great for fishing, small playground, and free firewood. You may want to consider Chip Lake park.We have been coming back to Chip Lake for many years now and we love it. The sites are well well maintained with some pull through for the larger campers. Lots of grass at sights for tents. It has outhouses that are cleaned often and a generous supply of wood for one to use while they are there.We have caught a number of Jack fish off the shore and some squirrels in the campground. One of the good things is you can have music on after 11:00pm within reason unlike some other parks. We have seen the police called on some rowdier groups.but for the most part, people are cool there.

Great place to camp)

It was fine.We were confused about the wording but it turns out by 'unit' they mean each individual tent or trailer in the site you rent. Fair enough except we had two small one person and one two person tent (4 adults), totalled 75 bucks, but the large palace like 14 person tent was only 25 and there was 7 to 8 people. It is a bit unfair and they should look at repricing.Otherwise people set fireworks off, were loud the entire time, even after quiet hours... So normal stuff you would expect from an unmanned campground. Sites are clean, wood is free, and it is cheap if you don't have more than one tent.

Unmanned park... it can get noisy after hours... a lot of partying. Free fire wood... you pay by the unit per Tent/RV which can make it costly if you go with a big group but kids can have a tent units for free. Currently it is 25 bucks a night. They have outhouses with lights. A few water pumps outside and a park. The lake is very shallow and not for swimming. If you want a quiet night with the family best not to go on the weekend. If you want a place to party outside this is the place to do it!

Needs a dock and a beach but other than that great place to camp

The boat launch is a joke.Had to pull a guy out of the water he was in so far and his boat was still on the trailer and not floating

Good place for party $25 for night but free wood, you can make a fire all day long, there is a small playground for children. Bathrooms I've never seen anything more gross, God, thank you that I have mine in trailer, a lot of midges and mosquitoes try be ready for this

Not many people around. Clean site, beautiful surroundings. Good place for kayaking: lots of islands. Fishing is ok too. There is North pike out there. You need to know lure for it. Once you now it it's a fish store. Enjoy!
