H&R Block

I did my taxes here, and the staff were really great people. Was a good service for sure.

I spoke with Greg today, very knowledgeable and took the time to explain in depth how and what I should be expensing as a sole proprietor. I wish there were more people like him teaching us about taxes!

Associate lacked a lot of knowledge about taxes. I even had to show her how to figure out 15% of $550 on a calculator. I was not asked the normal questions that would help me to save money on my taxes. When I asked about these they were brushed and pushed aside. I even tried to ask what I could do better for next year and got the same response. As I was classified as a small business I was charge $350 and yet I feel like I was taken advantage of and treated poorly.

Ali from H&R Block was fantastic! He efficiently tackled my complicated tasks and provided excellent service. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of tax assistance.p.s - sorry again

Very good although we have not started to do our current tax returns but will use H&R Block.

I had walked in to see if anyone was free to go over my tax documents at my local HR block and one of the tax specialists gladly took my documents and contact information to leave there and he would contact me once everything was finished so I could come sign some papers. Fast forward to when I finally heard back from CRA and I really needed to get his help since he filed them for me, he didn't actually work at the office I originally went to which the only reason I chose that one was it's close proximity to my house, he was apparently temporarily filling in at that location and if I needed to see him I'd have to go all the way to Chinatown. He shouldn't have even taken me on as his client to begin with. Not a good experience and especially for $500

If I could give 0 star, I would- Avoid this location, avoid H&R block completely if you can. Incompetent employees. Very inconsiderate. They made a mistake in my 2021 tax and they have been avoiding accountability for their mistake for the last 3 months. Their Peace of Mind" extended service plan is total garbage. They won't reimburse the amount of money they owe me. Just avoid any headache and go find yourself a qualified tax accountant elsewhere."

H&R block is great- this location needs to be shut down.The staff are inconsiderate, the store doesn’t open as advertised hours. It’s a gamble whether they will open when they say they are.Staff has been late for every appointment.Quality control, H&R block. Do something about this.

I was struggling to do my taxes using free software due to a weird situation with RRSPs and when I went to ask about that specific situation while I did my taxes with them they eventually said they can't help me and to call the CRA. They still completed my taxes then sent me a form to fill out and send myself... I thought they were the tax people.. They still charged me 300+ dollars though.
