I have no experience donating here. The hours are not at all conducive to working folk. They may want to try staying open after 5pm and on weekends to entice more donors.

I now give blood every 84 days!!! I started my routine donation last year because I wanted to do more. I’ve only ever donated at 888 Dunsmuir in Vancouver and the staff are friendly and the environment is very comfortable. My kids think I’m a superhero because I donate and I think that’s pretty awesome!! Come join me every 84 days!!!

I'm the healthiest I've ever been in my life , I'm taking my Mega Men multivitamins every day , I literally sleep with access to Grapes and other fruits always and I drink alcohol once a month! If that even :-) Love it! Now its time to start donating as much as I can thanks!

A grumpy nurse decided I coudn't donate because I informed them I have just recovered from a cold but cough occasionally. If dry, occasional coughs stop a regular donor from donating, why is Q-Pass issued as usual, leading to a huge waste of time for all?!

Staff and volunteers are very helpful and nice! The process was fast and efficient (even though they said they were backed up), the chairs were comfortable and there was a good collection of snacks. Very good first time experience.

I visited this center for the first time today with an appointment. Unfortunately, due to the lack of parking, I could hardly find a parking lot and went to this center with my son, even though the center was far from our house, hoping to donate blood. Unfortunately, the center did not accept donated blood from me because I was not fluent in English, and they said that my son could not be a translator. I was very upset because both my son and I left at the same time and they did not take blood from me. They said go and give blood every time you are fluent in English, which is very strange to me! But in general, the staff was kind and friendly. I was surprised by this law, which means that someone who is not fluent in English can never donate blood? !

The staff at CBS were great and efficient. The hours are great for the location. Easy to book an appointment and complete the questionnaire.

Very convenient location for anyone working downtown (except maybe Yaletown). If you book an appointment, you can complete the questionnaire and pamphlet ahead of time. This way, you just walk in and grab a number to do the screening. The whole process for me is generally 45 minutes. They're open early morning until early afternoon. It does get busier around lunch time on weekdays.Staff are always super friendly, and willing to take the time to explain things to you. I've never had any complications, but there are enough nurses on hand to accomodate anything that might come up.This location only does whole blood. To donate platelets or plasma, you have to go to the Oak St location. That's also where your blood is shipped to be tested and/or sent off.
