Shoppers Drug Mart

First time reviewing a business ever, but I am only doing it as a public service. Today my 5 year old was very sick so I talked to my family doctor who sent the prescription to this pharmacy. First of all, we were told that it would take TWO hours to get the medication ever, which is kind of normal for this pharmacy, I’d assume due to understaffing. We waited for about 2 hours so I called to ask for an update. The pharmacist said they did not have the order for my son’s medicine. After double checking with other staff member, the pharmacist told me that they were out of the medicine. I asked him why they did not call me to inform me about this so I could do something about it instead of waiting for a phone call that never was going to happen. He only said sorry. I guess that they were so busy and since they knew that they were not going to make money with my business, they did not ever bothering calling me. So upsetting.

Same as any other Shopper's. IE: Well lit, well staffed, nicely stocked, friendly pleasant staff. This one, I HAVE to give 5 stars - for a manager who went above and beyond to assist me when I was unable to find my original receipt.Thus: EXCELLENT customer service!

Have always had a great experience dealing with this pharmacy. All of the pharmacy staff are a dream to deal with. This morning I went in to pick up prescriptions and The owner/pharmacist, Spiro went above and beyond to assure me that despite my claustrophobia, I would be ok during my MRI. He gave me tips on how to calm myself before hand and was very compassionate when I was addressing my concerns. Thank you Spiro, your kindness and empathy for your customers does not go unnoticed. If I could give 100 star review I would.

I know and understand that pharmacy staff is trying but I don't understand Spiro is an amazing pharmacist that looked at one thing for me that two could not see and things are still not fixed. I am understanding but confused pretty much everytime I go in the Computers are down. I would understand if maybe there was communication between staff.

Changed hours, still has a big lit up sign that says Open until 12am" but now closes at 10pm."

Don’t expect ordering any prescription in person to mean anything to anyone here, the request won’t be processed and you’ll have to wait for them to fill it when you go to pick them up. The likelihood of them only giving you a single week’s worth of your medication is pretty high as well.I’ve had this happen to me too many times to count, but my most recent experience took the cake. They only sent me out the door with a single week’s worth of my medication after I order said medication two days prior in person.They need to train their employees better or find the source of the problem and fix it, as my entire family has experienced similar problems with this pharmacy.

Worst pharmacy in the city. Nobody has a clue what’s going on. After my prescription being incorrect I was told they would sort it out in a couple days and call me when its ready. After a week w/o phone call no one still had any idea what was going on.I contacted my previous pharmacist and they sorted out for me in minutes over the phone.

Horrible experience!!! Firstly this girl at the post office was super rude and condescending. Next, the self checkout was very inappropriate, it started to scream at me. Very loud and obnoxious! Next, pharmacy was awful, the amount of time it took to get my prescriptions was very long. It needs to be quicker. Last and definitely least, I had a very bard time trying to get products without getting followed in the boutique. The only way I can see this ending happily and for all to be right is to get 4 Jason Derulo tickets for me and my friends, if you comply, I may consider shopping here again!

I am extremely frustrated with the poor service. I had a little over $100 in my cart and my wife and I walked up to the front. We walked to ever till and on each till there was a sign saying closed. There was absolutely no cashiers or employees in sight. Another lady walked up and was as shocked as we were. Now we have used and know how to use the self serve tills but shouldn’t have to if we don’t want to as we also had 2 questions we needed to ask as well as purchasing our items. The lady that came up was not at all comfortable with the self check outs and said she was not good at tech. We, being my wife and me, the older lady and another customer waited and the empty tills for about 5 minutes. Then finally a staff member came walking towards us….. stoped…… turned and rang herself through the self checkouts. I was floored that she never recognized us or even tried to call someone else to run the till. The older lady asked her if she could ring her through the till and the staff member said owe you could just use these self checkouts. Then another staff member came up and went to ring himself through the self checkouts. A long store short removing all the #%€£ words out. We had no choice but to use the self serve checkouts and there for were unable to ask our questions.SHAME ON THUS COMPANY FOR NOT CARING AT ALL FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS. THIS ISN'T THE STAFFS FAULT AS IVE WORKED RETAIL MY WHOLE LIFE AND KNOW YOUR ONLY WANTING PEOPLE TO USE SELF CHECKOUTS TO SAVE MONEY TO PADD YOUR UPPER MANAGEMENT WALLETS. I’VE NEVER BEEN MORE DISGUSTED WITH A COMPANY AS I AM NOW. YOU SAVED A COUPLE OF $ YESTERDAY BY FORCING PEOPLE TO USE SELF CHECKOUTS BUT YOU’VE LOST A LOT MORE AS I WILL NOT GO INTO ANY OF YOUR STORES ESPECIALLY THIS ONE EVER AGAIN. YOU LOST ALL MY $$$$$ FOR LIFE.

Worst service. Staffs has lack of knowledge. I dropped the prescription around 3pm for my 11 months old son and went to pick up the medicine after 6pm, then the pharmacist askes, what is the weight of my son. And they did not prepare the medicine which was matter of only 15 minutes time. My question is, if the pharmacist need to know the weight of the child why don't you ask on same time(drop off time) Why 3 hours later, when we went to pick up the medicine( when the whole day is over)? I do understand, that person is new but the lady who was training him, she was more interested to check my insurance than the basic required information for this medicine. Because of their mistake my son suffered from pain 1 more day. Not trust worthy. Do not recommend.
