If you are looking for the best Portuguese linguiças and the best bacalhau, ( sausage and cod fish)along with other international groceries, don't mind a 5 hour Drive go to Beira Mar in Vancouver BC. So you can have XmasIn july. Nice and friendly people, makes you feel that you are in Portugal.

Lots of original stuff you can only get in Portugal like dried salted cod and cheese, just beware of some of the dried and canned goods, some are outdated and look like they have been there a while. They are noted for fresh grapes in the fall, by the case for crushing and making your own wine at home.

I went to buy in person and they asked me to call to order next time. So I did it, but the lady on the other side was very rude, saying I was taking her time and I should not call to order. I hope I can find my products somewhere else, because this place is such a nightmare full of grumpy people.

The first time try the Portuguese food. The owner was very patient to explain me everything. Eventually got the “ready to eat” sausage and very fresh bread for my lunch (just warmed up in the office microwave very convenient) yummy will come back for sure!

Be very careful of the canned products as many of them are past the Best Before Date. I bought a jar of lupini beans and noticed when I got home the lid was ready to burst. Returned this ASAP. A can of fish I just took out of the paper box expired 6 months ago.Remember this is a wholesaler so when a retail store returns something, guess where it goes - on the store shelf. Baked breads are great but stay away from everything else.

One of my favourite sandwitch and canned fish shops.People helping you with your order are always polite and appear to love what they do.Not a high traffic store, and that gives them time to make good sandwitches and serve you well.You can pre-order bread or buns for your own sandwitches.Never bought grape juice from them, I often see people buying items for home wine making.It is a small store, they also sell Portugese local art and some meat and cheese products. Many times they have olive oil at lower prices than other retailers.

The best importers of Portuguese grocery goods from Toronto in Vancouver. They make in house Portuguese buns, sweet bread and even sell bacalhao. Open until 4:30pm weekdays.

Very good Portughese bread, fresh every day after 10 am. Very good customer service. Great selection of imported food from Portugal and Europe. Great Extra Virgin Olive Oil . They have dry Cod fish and Capers from Portugal. Lost 1 Star because I noticed they don't really check the expiring date on products ( I found some cheese in the fridge 1 year old) so you have to be careful but I would reccomend to pay a visit.

Went to have a sandwich one day, walked up to the doors only to see the owner peeing at the side of the building beside the front door, no wash, no sanitizer, completely disgusting!! I turned around and walked out with no sandwich nor will I ever return to get one. Might be good food but that's not all you are getting in your sandwich.
