I'm a pianist who has worked with Leslie in a number of different ways: in an opera, with her students during lessons and performances, and as a performance partner for concerts. While watching her sing and perform is always engaging as an audience member, her teaching is just as impressive because of her experience and her credentials. Leslie is an outstanding colleague, teacher, and musician, I hope to work with her (and her wonderful students!) more in the future.

I have worked with Lesley several times as a vocal adjudicator. I have seen her work with students from Grade 1 right through to adult. Lesley is a bundle of energy. She is truly excited to see students shine through achieving their vocal goals and celebrates her students' achievements. Yes she teaches voice from a classical perspective. With an impending move from SK to ON, my 9 yo grandson began virtual voice lessons with Lesley. Lesley has inspired, encouraged and challenged him resulting in increased confidence in his ability and improved self esteem. His natural music talent is maturing and he is open to trying new things and stretching himself. Now in ON he continues with virtual lessons. Lesley is top notch. During these crazy times, Lesley has helped to maintain some stability and normalcy. Even me, who can’t carry a tune in a bucket, has come to appreciate music through her afternoon live concerts. Now, when so many things are limited, could be the perfect time for voice lessons with Lesley.

Lesley went above and beyond when working with my son. He learned so much in a short time, not only about the specific musical theatre songs we were practicing for an upcoming competition, but also about singing and performing in general. Within the first few minutes of our virtual lesson she had managed to construct a positive and encouraging relationship with my son. After our lesson, my son said “Lesley is amazing, mom. She’s awesome!” She really cares about her students and her passion for developing “the dream” is infectious. James was inspired. I highly recommend Dreams In Progress for anyone looking to bring their own performance dreams closer to reality.

Lesley has an extensive range of knowledge and experience in music, singing and the issues that plague one's voice. She has helped me considerable with therapeutic voice lessons as I have muscle tension dysphonia. My speaking voice has improved remarkably over the past year and I am making good progress with my singing voice too. This approach to treating my vocal disorder has worked far better than I ever expected. My other option was botox injections every 3 months in my throat! Working with Lesley is a better non-invasive first approach in my view for anyone who has a vocal disorder and also for anyone who wants a very experienced voice teacher to help improve their singing.

Leslie is a wonderful positive teacher. I have studied with her for over twenty years. Leslie is well educated in both performance and theory. Her ability to make her students feel more comfortable and confident is done in a very positive upbeat way. I have recommended her to many people, as well as sending my own children to study with her. Leslie has a talent for teaching, both adults and children, that is educational and fun.

My daughter has been with Lesley for years and we can not say enough about how wonderful this experience has been. She tailors her lessons, to the interests and strengths of her pupils. Her talents and warmth are shared each lesson and she celebrates new skills wholeheartedly. My daughter has benefited not only in her vocal ability but also with her confidence and knowledge of Music. Lesley also has planned recitals to showcase the achievements of her students that have been inspiring to witness. We are so fortunate to have had the Dream in Progress experience and value the time with Lesley Andrew beyond measure.

Lesley Andrew’s is a top notch vocal teacher! My 2 daughters and myself have taken lessons with her and she is excellent!!! Her experience as a professional singer and teacher shows her commitment to her art. I highly recommend her..... you won’t be disappointed.

Lesley has been teaching my son vocal lessons for about 7 years now. She has been nothing short of remarkable! Lesley Andrew has been my vocal coach for the past 9 years. I have learned everything I know about music from her. I started singing from the age of 3, then as I got older I decided to take lessons and found Lesley. Lesley got me into singing classical music and encouraged me and supported me throughout my entire journey. Because of Lesley I was able to pursue Music at the post secondary level at the University of Western Ontario where I graduated with a Bachelor of Music (specialization in voice). Lesley is the most talented woman I know in the music field. Without her I would not be where I am today or have come anywhere close to this far in my career. Her kind heart, constant love and support towards her students does not go unnoticed. She loves what she does and puts her students FIRST above anything. This is why I have worked with Lesley for so long and will continue to do so because she is REAL. She is someone who I (along with so many others who are able to study under her umbrella) truly look up to and someone who I can never thank enough for all she has done for me not only as a music teacher but as a mentor. She is overqualified in what she does in all aspects of music. From music theory, piano, acting, performing and teaching various genres of music professionally worldwide and well as teaching ALL age groups!
