Summerhill Market - Annex
They're prepared foods are incredible , I haven't been disappointed yet.. The Chicken Pot Pie, Fish and Chips, Quiche, Salads etc ......all delicious and many times you can find them half price. The store isn't huge, but they have everything you need and the store is laid out well , they cash you out quickly . I would have to say the only downfall is the prices are much higher than a high end grocery store . I do shop here often when I get home late and want to grab a prepared meal for the family .

Very interesting grocery store. Upscale and alot of items that you cannot get at most grocery stores. Cannot deny that it is a bit pricey and will be a shock if you have not been there before. However the ingredients were all quality.One thing that really caught my eye was the packaged sushi that they carry. It is labelled by Miku which is a favourite of mine; especially for Aburi sushi.The highlight of this trip was the vegan section which had alot of options and variety. Some that I have heard of and tried and others that I thought were only in the US. Definitely recommend checking out this grocery store at least once!

I'm a fan of Summerhill market and their prepared meals; however, the recipes change which is frustrating. Their vegetable chilli was my absolute favourite until this week- and now it's an Indian curry vegetable so- if you love the food, just be prepared it can change and don't assume if you're gifting your favourite meals they are necessarily what you're familiar with!

First, lets address the fact that this is a boutique and independent grocery store chain. Their prices are higher than larger grocery franchises, but they have also not participated in the price inflation that's taken hold across the major grocery chains across Canada. It's a fresh of breath air to shop at Summerhill Market, where the pricing and quality has remained consistent all these years.On that topic, the quality of all their items (produce, meat, prepared food, bakery, packaged) are all consistently higher than than anything you would find at bigger franchises. Produce, in particular, have prices that may only be 10% or 20% more expensive than other grocers, but are measurably larger, fresher, and more delicious.The staff at this location have greeted me and my family on sight, and are always happy to help.

Purchased a prepared $26 prime rib meal. When home and opened I discovered that they had strategically placed vegetables over top of the fat on the meat (approx 50% of it, see photo) to deceive the perception of it when closed in the container at the store. I spoke to an employee at the store about it but was told to look closer next time". No offer to replace it or make it up to me

This location is mobility accessible. They have a wonderful selection of already made meals and sides. The ready made items can be on the expensive side, however, you are getting great quality for the price. You can also purchase Keto items here in the bakery. If you have not been to this location it is well worth it. The produce selection is always presented well and really fresh. They also have a selection of things you can not find at other stores.**Tip: there is parking behind the store

This has been a go to place for food and groceries with plenty of freshly prepared food that all hits the spot. There's primarily fresh grocery, in- house pre-made meals, salads, curries, noodle dishes, pot pies, and locally crafted stuff. It's not a discount store although they do put things up to 50% off if you're lucky enough to find it.

Have been visiting this location for quite some time now. I love everything there, and most of the staffs including those staffs who were doing the restocking are always friendly. However, last thursday (Aug 18 , 2022 ) had a quite unpleasant experience at the cashier. The south Asian female staff (the cash register closer to window , before noon) seems no patience when I had an issue tapping my card and asked her to reset the terminal again. She did it, walked away to arrange the shopping baskets by the door, When I finished my payment, she just put everything into bag and made no eye contact and not showing any appreciation of the business. It was quite shocking to me as this is not you would expect from anyone in Summerhill. Hopefully the manager could address this and next visit will be good experience as usual.
