Sunnybrook hospital
There must be 0 stars for this hospital, I brought my 97-year-old relative for some foot injuries, she had gone to a doctor before and due to the severity they sent us to the hospital, but this place must be the worst in the world, they are so indolent and are not interested in the pain of patients, how can a 97-year-old woman be sitting so I felt so denigrated and I asked several times what was going on. And the answer: wait, wait, wait, wait. 10 at night and if they have to hospitalize her because of her severity. This situation is so sad. Please, someone should put order and put people to work who are really interested, respect and have compassion for the patient. For asking several times because they took so long, in a very rude way, they told me that if I kept asking they were going to kick us out of the hospital. This experience was very degrading. I felt trampled.

Two years ago my mother had a stroke and at the same time was diagnosed with covid. While she was Sunnybrook Hospital recovering and receiving treatment, the hospital is now charging an 82yr old, who is collecting government pension for her stay, to the tune of over....Two thousand dollars.....what!!! Why isn't this covered under Ohip???? So because she is not able to pay that , they have sent her next of kin....her son's name to collections. I wasn't in the hospital and is not responsible for her debt!!!! What wrong with this picture?

Cystoscope department in MG405 is ridiculousThey keep asking to come 15-30 min early but each time we come we have to wait at least 3 hours until your turnSo many people just waitingAnd complaining about same thing which they have each time they come here!If you want to keep a patient 3 hours in waiting room each time why dont you ask us to come late your are behind or whatever instead of wasting our time! The only star i gave is for the previous experiences I’ve had at Sunnybrook !

This rating is towards whomever is in charge of the hospital parking. I brought my dad who's a senior for a procedure and parked the car in your parking lot at around 9:41am and paid at the Pay Station at 10:41am. My father is a senior as I said before, and it takes some time for him to get to the car from the pay station to the car and then to get in and get settled, put on his seatbelt etc. I drive up to the exit and scan the barcode that I paid and your machine at the exit says I have to pay $5.00 more! You guys really like to rip people off and take advantage of the sick and elderly. I'm not speaking to the nurses or doctors but to who profits from the parking. It took a few minutes to get to the car and for my dad to get settled to go... but even if I was there another half hour or even an hour more. Which, we weren't even close to that long.... it still shouldn't have cost $5.00 more.

My adult daughter had emergency surgery here in February 2019. From the moment she was rushed into the emergency department from Pickering Ajax Hospital (not a good hospital) till the last hour she was at Sunnybrook she had exceptional care from ALL the staff. This is definitely a very professional and understanding hospital.Recently she has experienced a further issue and we brought her all the way into Sunnybrook as her surgeon and team is here. They took her at emergency and followed through with all the tests and a follow up with the original surgeon within a week. This hospital is the best I have ever seen. They are extremely thorough in what they do.Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The blonde nurse in the emergency walk-in was insipid at best. She claimed that there wasn't an understaffing issue, yet the minimal wait time was over 8 hours. This means either the hospital loves to monger the most talentless staff the medical field can offer or the hospital is understaffed. The nurse is rude and fails to comprehend what understaffed means. The irony is, on the walls of the hospital, it says to respect others. Clearly, this nurse lied and paid someone to write her CV because she can't read nor understand what respect means. My grandmother is diabetic (who was the patient) and they offered nothing. She also requires an array of medications she needs on a daily basis, yet they refuse to administer those either. If you really do have an emergency, go to another hospital. Better yet, it takes around 2-3 hours to drive to the United States. You can get better and faster treatment there, and you won't flatline via the 8 hour purgatory. If you do want to die, this place is your best bet. If I am ever suidical and I refuse to use the suicide hotline or seek help, I know with full confidence that Sunny Brook Hospital has my back on ending myself with their non-understaffed neglecting nurses.

Emergency is terrible! Maybe if you come in with trauma, you will be looked after quickly but otherwise expect 8 to 12 hours just to see a doctor. I’m 28 weeks pregnant with an infected cyst in my neck which requires antibiotics and the triage guy told me to sit and chill. I’ve been waiting over 7 hours in the waiting area. I’ve been to other emergencies and I’ve never experienced such terrible wait times. Not to mention parking is terrible and expensive, their waiting area is small, some have to stand because there’s not enough chairs and there’s no water fountain in sight. If you don’t have serious trauma just go somewhere else

I Brought my mom here in the Emergency Room due to a severe pain in her back and her legs unable to move. Is this not an emergency case? She is unable to sit neither stand due to the pain she is feeling from her lower back radiating to her legs and the nurses made us wait 12 hours… and forcing her to sit in a seat! The healthcare system is honestly terrible. We are taxpayers and work hard and run a small business. But due to this severe health issue that my mom is facing we have to sit and wait. I am honestly so Angry and Saddened to see that the Nurses at this hospital cannot regulate the emergency room based on the severity of the case.We came back home after waiting 12 hours of waiting and there was absolutely nothing done. They did no XRay, no bloodwork, nothing… even after seeing my mom going through so much pain and unable to sit or walk! What kind of hospital is this?
