John’s Home Comfort

John's Home Comfort was highly responsive, provided excellent service and was extremely responsive when we needed to install a new tankless water heater quickly. Grateful for John's flexibility and quick response during a busy time, squeezing us in when every other service provider was only booking weeks away.

John has come to service our tankless water heater for several years. He is professional, responsive, and thorough with respect to servicing and maintaining the system (and we had used other providers prior to him in the past as a point of comparison). He was able to answer and explain issues we were experiencing with our system. Would recommend to others looking for someone to service their Navien tankless water heater.

Reasonable price/excellent service/follows all Covid protocols.I first called John a few years ago when my on-demand water heater failed. John’s response was timely and it became evident that he is a very experienced technician. He quickly diagnosed the problem and we discussed options. He returned promptly the next day and successfully repaired the unit.I recently experienced an unrelated issue with this older unit and again called John. As the heat exchanger had failed, the unit had to be replaced. John immediately secured a new unit which was installed the next day. After one month he made a free follow-up inspection.Great service and I would highly recommend his company.

I have been using John's Home comfort for a number of years and he has always been courteous, professional and efficient. In particular this year in February when our furnace broke down after a really heavy snow storm. He tried to come that day, but because of the snow was unable to stop on the street for fear of getting stuck. We arranged for him to come the next day, and he was here for at least 7 hours working to get the heating back on. Everything was covered under the warranty of the furnace that he had installed two years previously.I would wholeheartedly recommend using John's Home Comfort for installations and servicing of your HVAC equipment.

Beware!Our boiler issue was misdiagnosed (mother in law was present, not me) and scare tactics were used to try and pressure us into completing a $20,000 full boiler replacement (1700 sq foot home and the unit itself is in the $5000 price range, at most).Called another professional in for a second opinion and he walked me through a complete diagnosis with Navien (boiler company) Tech on the phone. Together they determined the problem was a faulty water pump in the boiler. $200 part plus 2 hours labour and the problem was solved. There was also an issue with our original venting outside that was addressed and repaired by the other pro (who was amazing).Terrible experience, would not recommend!!!

My family and I have been using John's services for a few years now and have absolutely zero complaints. Service is excellent! They always show up on time and in the event of any lateness give ample heads up and/or apologies for not being able to make the appointment. I definitely recommend anyone to use the company! Our AC condensing unit fan seized on an extremely hot day, and we were without air conditioning. John made time to come to the house that evening, after a very busy hot day. He diagnosed the issue, ordered the parts early the next morning and had our air conditioning up and running by the afternoon. We couldn't have asked for better service. We highly recommend John's Home Comfort H&C.

John explained what he was doing and what was wrong and how much it would cost. Anna at the office was most helpful and the text communication meant I knew exactly when John would arrive. A very comfortable experience all around.

John recently installed a Hepa air filter system and a humidifier to our home HVAC and wow! We noticed the difference the same day! The air feels fresher and the heat is better distributed throughout the entire house. John and his crew were extremely quick, professional and clean. Very happy with the services and we highly recommend them for all HVAC needs!

Our Navien tankless water heater broke down. John was very professional in assessing the problem and replacing the heater. He was very patient and attentive in ensuring that our questions were answeredwe had warmth during the replacement with John supplying heaters for us. Our place was left in a clean state after completing the work. The work was completed on time as originally communicated. We highly recommend John's Home Comfort.
