The location is in Kitsilano 10 minutes away by bus from Downtown. I tried to make pottery with wheel. It was not easy as the instructor Sam showed us. But he kindly demonstrated us how so, I enjoyed the class and loved the friendly atmosphere. This place is good for doesn’t matter ages. There is also a cafe next door. You can also enjoy beers after the class. I’ll definitely visit there again and make better cup as a gift for my mom.

Today I went to Cafe au Clay and had a wonderful experience. To be honest I came thinking that poetry was kinda boring but I was so wrong. I made a lovely coffee cup in about one and half and I was so relaxed. Cafe au Clay team made it so easy for us to learn. The studio is beautiful, with a lot of space to feel comfortable and calm. I definitely recommend this experience to have a lovely day.

Today I experienced something I had been wanting to do for a while, pottery at Café au Clay Studios near Kitsilano and close to Granville Island. My experience there was really relaxing, worth trying and enriching. At the beginning I thought it would be easy, but sitting there in front of the spinning wheel with the clay, I realized it was way more harder than in my mind. The atmosphere it’s super peaceful, you really get into the moment. With the instructions given more clear than I expected by the instructor Sam, I could see the professionality of the class. I made a little cup for me to drink hot chocolate. I have to accept that at the end my instructor helped me a bit getting there to make it perfect. My feelings during the work were of peace, concentration and relaxation, it’s definitely an experience worth trying to get to know your hand abilities. I will get the full class program for me to improve not only in my pottery abilities, but to improve my focus abilities too.

I went to Cafe au Clay with my friends for a class on how to create a clay mug using only my hands. The studio was very easy to find, it is very close to Granville Island so there are a lot of transport options to get there. The place was impeccable and very cozy. They have on display many products made there, so it gives you an idea of what you can do and the different ways the finished products look. The class started on time, which I really appreciated. Anais, our instructor, was so nice and explained to us in detail how to get started, giving us time to adjust; and when we were ready, she continued with the next step. She let us go rogue and create our own pieces. Some of us didn’t want to make a mug, so she helped us create whatever we wanted. It was very therapeutic!I ended up making a bowl for my bedside table. I hope it ends up nicely, It will be ready in 2-3 weeks. Can’t wait to see it and to go back and take a full course.

We went to there to make some products, it was wonderful experience, my teacher is Anai(I’m sorry I’m not sure the spell..) who is really gorgeous. She taught us very well so we can make it easily. And the studio mood is also really peaceful so, I can feel like that I have therapy. I made a cup. I uploaded the pictures. I am really satisfied, so I definitely will go again, and I wanna make the plates. Thank you for your kindness.

I went to Cafe au Clay today in Vancouver Kitsilano on October 4th.That was literally great experience to make a pottery, first time for me tho.The instructor taught me how to make that completely, so you don’t have to worry about it.Make sure that you wear something not important for you since clothes can be messy and dirty though they provide an apron. There are two ways to make, one is using your hands and the other one is using a wheel. Definitely, wheel is much more difficult!! But it’s more interesting!Hope you’ll have fun there!I highly recommend you to go there if you want to make a pottery!

The experience of pottery at Café au Clay Studios was amazing, because it was different from anything I’ve ever had. I made a bowl in the spinning wheel. At the beginning I thought it was going to be the easiest way, but after I started I realized that my impression was wrong, because you need to synchronize your coordination to get a beautiful result. The atmosphere was incredible because our instructor Sam was playing background music of the band The Jungle and it was super relaxing music to focus. My feeling experience was of calmness. I started to stop feeling anxiety, controlling my hands and focusing on what I was doing. I am thinking of repeating the class as soon as possible, if anyone has a doubt, I will recommend trying this magical experience first to see how enjoyable it is.
