Devon Lions Campground

Excellent place to escape the city for a weekend or holiday. Kids love to play in the river all day long. Other people are respectful to your site, and everyone's dogs all get along.

Always a 5 star experience! Extreamy friendly staff, sites are well maintained, there are some smaller sites but for the most part it's an amazing campground 10 min from edmonton that feels like you are 3 hours away!

We spent Mother's Day weekend, at this campground and found it to be a great little spot, by the North Saskatchewan River, only 40min west of Edmonton.The staff was amazing and made everything possible for our host, to have our Baby shower within the campground.Unfortunately, we can't give a 5 star because there is absolutely no privacy between the camping sites. Within the first hour, we had 2 dogs come running into our campsite, who were not on a leash - with one of the adults asking to grab her dog, while I was trying to wrangle my own dog and holding a newborn baby.My campsite was directly next to a small playground, and we had every child AND ADULT, walk through our site instead of going around us, to get to the park. It got so bad, that I actually had to move my vehicle, in such a manner to stop young kids and teens, from riding their bikes, through my campsite. On the second evening, we were rudely woken after having 2 or 3 people trip over one of our tent guidelines, and this guideline was only 8 from the corner of our tent. That's how close these people were to our tent

The stalls, amenities, etc were all decent. Location is really nice. Great play grounds, field for Frisbee, hiking trail, all awesome.The service staff tending to the facilities... the lady had BOTH hands on her phone while driving the quad, looking down at her phone. She could have easily run over any dog or kid, as her face was BURRIED in her phone... again NO HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. After seeing that I didn't feel as safe to walk around.

Its a great location for a campground, on the river bank and next to the golf course. Lots of grass and trees, bathrooms are nice and clean, staff are great. The sewer hookups are a bit difficult to access, too close to the power and water post. Most of the spots are very small and close together with no trees between the sites. You can put your awning out over the picnic table and walk around the other side of the table but not much more. Some sites have a few more feet of space but none of them are private. You get more privacy if you tent down by the river with no services though. A nice area but I wouldn't want to camp there for a long time.

At first it seemed like a good place to be until I was told that it was my fault after we could be there to get the float was down for the cash amount of $50 because I myself will bring the other people shorted them . That was my fault that the cashier didn't do their job or somebody had stolen something from the till they blamed it on the people get in the money instead of dealing with the situation properly after week I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with me anymore and they should have done with it promptly

Besides the fire bans we made the most of it. We were at a double birthday party.We were at the Campground. Always so clean there. Just love it I wish I could camp there

Great location for a quick getaway from Edmonton. Clean and well maintained facilities. Lots are spacious.

Beautifully well maintained campground. Many sites full hookups partial or none you choose. Rates are reasonable and it has a great outdoor atmosphere. There is free wood available or you can ourchase wood at the front. Many walking trails 3 play grounds for the kidkets. Showers for a small fee in two different sreas of the campground as well as toilets. Very amazing olace for the whole family or to hide away.
