Happy Endings Saloon — Morning Wood Hotel | Since the infamous Days of ’98, Skagway has boasted a reputation for nightlife like no other destination on the planet. Sometimes rowdy and always fun, Happy Endings Saloon is the only real Skagway saloon that is open year round with a full-service bar, a dozen beers on tap, and the only Corn Hole Arena in the great state of Alaska. We are the home of many social events in Skagway, Alaska.

Stopped in on a port visit. Everyone was super chill and the bartender was very helpful in recommending a great tasting local beer. Great place to stop in and grab an adult beverage while people watching!

Three out of four of my experiences at Haps have left me never wanting to come back. Two bartenders have now treated me (as well as my partner) disrespectfully. It’s been multiple strikes for me.—I want to enjoy it there (a lot of my friends/coworkers do) but I will not be returning.

Took a cruise to Alaska and stopped here. My only complaint was the fact that I was stuck on the ships schedule and could not stay longer. Drank there take on the Moscow Mule and my wife loved it. Many of the drinks are infused with young spruce leaves or needles. (Correct me if I am wrong) The tour guide told us the indigenous people used to make a tea out of them in order to prevent scurvy and that when the white man arrived they made bear out of it. Not sure if it is a story or not but I tend to believe it as we will make alcohol out of anything. Anyway, had the spruce infused beer, a martini made with spruce infused vodka and it tasted like Christmas. Bottom line get away from the tourist trap and go where obviously the locals go (we arrived just before many of the construction workers got of work and arrived) and visit the Happy Endings Saloon.
