Terra Nova Plumbing

Workmen were great and we have no complaints about them, however management was not. We had THREE no shows for our appointments without any contact or reasoning as to why until I followed up with them. Manager I was dealing with acknowledged that was unacceptable but also didn’t even offer an apology. Wasted a ton of our time in that respect. Also the manager forgot to add things to the work order even though it had been confirmed with me via email, so the workmen had to come back. Don’t know if the manager in question was just taking on too much work, but it really left a sour taste in our mouths.

Echoing a review left below...1) Multiple no shows requiring follow up that ended up with an explanation and half hearted apology2) No pro-active communication, had to chase them for answers3) Plumbers showed up and had no idea what the scope of work was even though a thorough email had been sent detailing exactly what needed to be done.4) My wife and I had many hours of our time wasted waiting for people who never showed as promised.First appointment - no-show - had to email to get a reason. I was understanding of the reasoning but due to our schedule had to wait until the following week.Second appointment - no-show - Journeyman called and said he'd be at our home before noon. After noon got a call and said 20 minutes... After over an hour when someone did eventually show it was afternoon when morning was promised. I was out at an appointment by then (since it was supposed to be morning) so my wife was there and she only had the basic knowledge of what needed to be done. Journeyman rambled quickly through a bunch of things, couldn't fix something, had to buy a new thing etc. In the end, I just wanted what I had asked for to be done and I was willing to do what was necessary.Journeyman leaves and says he needs to purchase some things and will be back. **spoiler alert** he didn't come back. Apprentice did the best he could to do the part of the job he could which was to install a new water line for a new fridge. Unfortunately, due to the time, my family had to be somewhere and we left the apprentice behind, trusting him to complete the job. The job ended up incomplete, mostly due to the journeyman not returning with no communication as to why (apprentice didn't even know why).After another no-show the next day, I contacted another plumber to come and finish the jobs and it was decided that TerraNova would not be back to complete any further work.1 star goes to the apprentice who got left alone while the journeyman had to be somewhere else" and was supposed to come back and never did. He was kind and seemed knowledgeable."

While trying to sell my house, it was discovered that there was dampness in the crawlspace. Because it was actively being viewed I was in a bit of a panic to find and fix the problem asap. I called two companies, the first one told me they might be able to come and check it out in 2-3 days. I couldn’t wait that long.I called Terra Nova and was told they could stop in and do a quick check on the way to another site as they were going by my place that morning. Within 10 minutes, they were at my door.As it turned out the entire perimeter drain needed to be replaced as it had been incorrectly installed when the house was built. The pressure was on to get it fixed correctly and promptly.Even though they had several other jobs on the go, and a few times were called out on other emergencies, they did an amazing job and they bent over backwards to get it done on time, and that also included replanting trees and fence posts that had to be removed as well as the patio brickwork and concrete pouring.The crew was professional and very patiently answered any and all questions I had about what they were doing.They understood the time frame and the stress that came along with it and I couldn’t have been happier with how they handled it.I would hire no other company other than Terra Nova Plumbing for the job. Super impressed with them. If there 10 stars available, they would get all 10.

Fantastic service. I thought my outside tap was fixed but just after accepting an offer on my house I realized the tap wouldn't turn off the water completely. The inspector was due to arrive as per the buyers offer to buy my home. Dwight from Terra Nova arrived 30 minutes after I called and had the job done in 30 minutes. The bill was extremely reasonable, Dwight is very friendly and professional. Couldn't have asked for more.

Nick and Taylon were both awesome after we had a rather large plumbing emergency at our strata complex. They identified the problem, excavated it, repaired it, and buttoned it all back up cleanly and efficiently. The bill was very reasonable for the work they completed.... All this while explaining everything as they went, and both were respectful and polite workers. 5 STARS.

The front lawn became saturated with water and started to pool. Called three local plumbing shops. There were two responses: the first to respond was Terra Nova (one didn't respond at all), and they came out right away to inspect, made the hose connection to our neighbour work for temporary city water supply, and had the city water line shutdown to prevent further flooding. They put our mind at easy by letting us know they would be back the next day to start repairs, and take care of any other issues that came up.Next day, Terra Nova had a crew with a small excavator digging down to discover the issue, repaired it, and filled it back in. Then they brought in a yard of soil and seeded the newly turned dirt.It was a relief to us to have it taken care of quickly, professional, and completely within a few days between first call and being done. Very impressed and happy!

We couldn't be happier with Terra Nova Plumbing here at The Mariner Apartments! From calling in, to getting plumbers on-site, the process is swift, smooth and conscientious.They are here at the drop of a hat in the middle of the night when an emergency pops up, and right on time in the morning for scheduled calls. Our building is always left in better shape when they leave. The plumbers are incredibly tidy and careful in tenants units, and cheerful too! We are incredibly grateful to have them on our side. 10/10 recommend.

We had a leak in our small crawl space. We were really worried about the lasting damage. We called a few plumbing places, but only Terra Nova was able to send someone right away. Two guys showed up in about an hour and they had the leak fixed in no time and they were on their way. I can't say how grateful we were for their help. The two young guys were incredibly friendly and professional.

Our water system from our well would not work . We called 4 different plumbing companies and terra nova is the only one that called back we explained our situation . They said they would prioritize us as we had no water and they where here the next morning. Jamie and Liam arrived on time and very courteous and professional. Would highly recommend this company for their professional service and excellent employees. We have running water again after an hour .

Needed my hot water heater replaced. Service was fast and professional. Work was completed at quoted prices.Would highly recommend this local company.
