Animal Care Centre of Strathmore

very best clinic iv ever been to. had a emergency years ago and due to the care and understanding iv only ever brought my animals here since. top notch and the vets / doctors go above and beyond to explain and help.And i dont understand how other reviews say they wont see a animal. just this friday i had a life and death emergency and they got me inbetween other appointments, my new puppy had not been there before, granted as i said iv been going there for years, but one other review said even as a client they wouldnt do a emergency check on there pet. iv never found this to be the case and iv had a few emergencys over the years and they have always made the time to see my pet. my emergency this friday is turning out well, puppy is doing 100% better, and looking like a full recovery. iv also had a emergency 2 yrs ago at 2am and i found the pricing was fair all considering it was 2am on a weekend and over 100km from there location and the vet had come to me. ( badly mauled dog due to coyotes ). So yes there care is top notch, there pricing for the level of care is more then fair, ( dont find it over priced at any rate )the recovery care is great. and no im not some sort special person thats has spend thousands there, im a cheap guy that generally picks the cheapest option or do at home care, yet they still give me 100% of there time every time i come in.Bless you guys and ladys. and thank you.

They claim to not be an emergency hospital" but will ask you if you're a client first. So if you're new to Strathmore ( like myself that just moved here in May) and haven't been there before

Unfortunately not a good experience for anyone who is NOT a patient, if you are consider yourself lucky, however if you have a sick pet go to the city if its on the weekend as there is no other Vet here that will help you. Have delt with this several times and I will only be dealing with Strathmore Vet going forward or drive elsewhere to find the care my dog needs.Staff Im sure are lovely however the corporate policies in place pronpt staff to ask if you are from Calgary rather then the urgency of your pets needs.

Great caring staff, my dog doesn't mind coming, Had to stay in the hospital for a few days and i received an update every day. They have his history, gave me meds and things to do at home and Jock and i are doing well. Carol Brown

I keep giving ACC chances and but continue to get ripped off by this place for doing unnecessary unrequested things or things I specifically said I didn't want done and then charging me for them.The equine side is not experienced enough or educated enough for more than simple procedures and even at that I once booked a horse for simple baby tooth extraction and ended up paying for sedation and an exam but left with the baby tooth still in place that was causing the adult tooth to grow sideways. They apparently weren't experience enough to pull a LOOSE front cap. Then they sedated my pregnant mare with early lactation for no reason just to tell me I needed to go to Moore vet. Yet still charged for sedation and exam but left me with no answer.Now I just payed $1000 to spay two barn cats after I had specifically said I didn't want exams because they're just barn cats but they did it anyways and still charged me $200 for them.This exam scam is out of hand, overcharging for something they literally spend 5 minutes on.

As suspected after reading other recent reviews, this vet clinic refused to see our 8 week old pup in the case of an emergency unless we committed to them for all our future vet needs. How can one commit to a service in the long term before they even know the quality of the service. Good for you guys for scaring off customers before they even step foot in the door.

Dr. Rand Davis is incredible with my Bulldog Quinn. The entire staff is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Davis to anyone looking for a vet that they can trust. Prices are very reasonable and I never feel pressured into unwanted or needed procedures.Thank you everyone for taking such good care of Quinn!

Amazing staff and vets! They helped me out with my cat and had very good pricing. They are truly there to help animals and not price gouge you for their efforts. Best animal clinic I've ever been too! Highly recommend

Dr Nicole and her assistant were amazing. Our old dog passed with dignity in the comfort of her own home. I cannot thank them enough for their compassion and care they showed us.
