We had our family dinner on Sunday and we ordered from Hi Ball . The food was exceptional ,fresh ,hot and the portions were huge . Thank You for making our get together a success.

The absolute BEST! tasting wonton soup ever! And their other dishes are also fantastic like hot honey chicken or shrimp, breaded dry veal and deluxe Cantonese chow mein!!

Thus place is a joke....thier own website shows the menu with prices but they are 25 percent less... and not what they tell you when you order on the phone. Buyers beware...when I phoned back to question the order cost they said it was customers who posted this...are these people so backwards they don't even know what's on thier own website?

Just an update - still the best - beef chow fan is amazingbest shrimp in Winnipeg - perfectly cooked - melt in your mouthThank goodness Hi-Ball is open again after renovations. We tried a dozen different Chinese restaurants while you were closed. Some were OK, but Hi-Ball is the best. Glad to have you back. Best shrimp in Winnipeg!!

Some very mediocre Chinese food, the worst we have had in a long time. Big portions but old tasting meat. We ended up throwing out/composting a decent amount of it. This is definitely a quantity type of place, not quality. Will not be ordering again.

Hi-Ball Restaurant
This is our go to place to order! We've had the Cantonese chow mein, ginger beef, beef and broccoli, dry breaded shrimp, chicken balls, mixed greens, dry breaded veal and egg rolls and they've always been very good! Good portions, good sizes and always quick.

After reading the reviews, my partner and I were both looking forward to trying Hi-Ball, especially given its proximity to our home. Unfortunately we were left quite disappointed with our meal. We ordered 4 dishes and while I will say that the food was hot and clearly made fresh, there wasn’t much flavour in any of them. Will likely not be ordering from here again.

Incredible food and big portions and very reasonable pricing!I ordered:* Deluxe Special Fried Rice - lots of meat and very flavourful!* Beef Chow in Black Bean and Garlic Sauce - beef was cooked to perfection and the noodles was very smokey and the sauce was amazing!* Beef in Satay Sauce - beef was so tender and the satay sauce was one of the best I’ve had.* Hot Honey Shrimp - I’ve had the Hot Honey Chicken before so I thought I’d try the shrimp version and it was another favourite. The sweet sauce went perfectly well with well seasoned and fried shrimps Very generous servings too!Service was fast and efficient!

I can only speak to the delivery as I have never eaten in store. The delivery times given are usually very accurate, the dishes are well prepared with quality ingredients. Ordered most recently on Christmas evening and the food was delicious.

I grew up next door to the owners and recently found out through my parents about this place. It’s delicious, very well priced and amazing quality! I highly recommend their ginger chicken and the hot honey lemon chicken!And of course the classic staples: sweet and sour chicken balls and fried rice! We also usually get the sesame chicken, the wonton chips, egg rolls and the beef Cantonese chow mein! All extremely good!
