Active Tire & Auto Centre Inc. opened their first outlet in 1983 and have expanded ever since. Green + Ross opened their original outlet in the mid 1930's, and had expanded to 12 locations by the early 1990's..In February 1993, Green + Ross was purchased by the principles of Active Tire and Auto Centre Inc. with the intention of amalgamating the two chains.In April of 2004, SEARS Canada licensed Active Green + Ross to operate 11 former SEARS Auto Centres as Active Green + Ross Tire & Auto Centres.In early 2007 Active Green+Ross again expanded the franchise by adding 28 (former Speedy Muffler & Brake) locations to the chain.The locations have increased Active Green + Ross exposure across Ontario and added presence in many more markets.All locations now trade under the name of: Active Green + Ross Tire & Auto Centre

Edit: This location is under new management and is not the same at all. Has gotten worse. Don't expect the same level of service. I have to find a new place after 20 years. End edit.6 months ago: Absolutely trustworthy for those of us who don't know much about cars. They value return business and don't nickel and dime about small stuff. I sound like I work there lol but it's just an honest place to get your car worked on.

I don’t know where to start. I got to this Active Green and Ross location and asked for a tire patch which ended up needing a full tire replacement. It happened to be that they didnt have my tire which is fine, but eventually I had to remove my car from the garage however my vehicle had an electrical malfunction causing it to stay in parking and their response to my car physically not being able to move out of their garage was “we are closing at 6pm so we will have to lock your car in and you can pick it up in the morning”. This is after I notified them that a tow truck driver is on the way. When one of the employees tried fixing the vehicle, they said “I dont event know where the battery is located in this vehicle”. They had ZERO customer service and their knowledge on vehicles seems very questionable. I would never step foot into this location.

Patrick is awesome, the day was completely booked and he fit me in, he was patient and understanding with my questions, he took his time to explain the breakdown of the billing. Best of all they price match. Thank you Patrick.

I received great service with the new management at the helm. Jeff was courteous and professional. My battery warranty was honoured no questions asked. The guys provided really good service.

BEWARE OF THIS MECHANIC SHOP.I came in to get a steering wheel alignment because it's off center to the left. After repairs it's now off center to the right instead of a straight steering wheel. Wasn't even 5min from leaving the shop that I drove back and told them. The mechanic kept arguing back that's the best he can do and that's what it looks like when the columns are aligned. Two weeks after this is what my steering looks like now (video attached), as it further misaligns to the right. Don't bother telling them they didn't do it right, they just keep making excuses

We use Active Green and Ross for new tires, season changes and tire service as required. Our local Etobicoke location has been great. Flexible scheduling, timely service and special thanks to Bala the Manager for his great service.

Very disappointed with their communication and behavior. Spoke with Bala who confirmed my appointment 2 weeks in advance for my 2 cars, I showed up for my appointment 10 minutes in advance as well, just to be told their starting their lunch at the same time as my appointment was booked and they will start with my car after their lunch. Why then book me in at that time? And while waiting they messed up someone else's appointment and the poor guy booked a week in advance and was turned away and Andre wasnt even apologetic about it, made it sound more like not his problem.. and while booking my appointment Bala had confirmed there would be a $10.00 discount on each of my vehicles (2) but Andre seemed to not like that when paying for my bill and had a moment of being annoyed and applied it to only 1 of my vehicles and wasn't happy about it. Then why give me the offer during the time of booking if as customer I am being shamed? Very disappointed with the attitude and time management. Ended up having to wait for over 3 hours for for tire changes for the season... I have come to them for 3 seasons including this but the convenience of location is no longer worth it if the the attitude is so poor and having to wait for over 3 hours when it takes less than 1 hour per car to do the changes... very disappointed and unacceptable that they don't value customers time and money. Andres kept blaming Bala for everything, very awkward feeling for a customer.

Came here a couple years ago to pull my fuel tank because of a pump issue on my classic. Mechanic doing the job boasted 20+ years of experience. He did find my problem but after he put everything back together, I had to redo the job again because he messed up my fuel pump wiring, causing it to burn out, on top of tangling the fuel level float in that same pump wiring. As a bonus, the guy driving my car out of the shop put his grease covered paws all over my seat.
