Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255

I had my baby shower at Windsor legion: branch 255 this past weekend, and I was not impressed, nor would I book an event with them again. We had the dart room booked for many months in advance, and had spoken with staff and informed them on at least a few separate occasions of exactly what we wanted. We were told that when we arrived at 11am to set up our decorations ect, that our tables chairs ect, would be 100% ready for us with table cloths on, and that all we had to do was arrive and decorate. but when we got there at 11am, nothing at all was ready for us, they put no effort into setting up what so ever, and one staff told us they didn’t set up because they didn’t know what we wanted ,even though we told him multiple times in advance what we did want. AND to top it all off, they had st Patrick’s day decorations all over the place which we were unable to take down or cover up with our shower decorations. Instead of happily preparing for my baby shower by decorating, and getting excited, my family, friends, and I had to scramble to decorate, set up ,and move all of the tables by ourselves because no one staff wise was there to help us, even though we were promised that they would be. The staff lady whom we were told would also help us decorate ect, showed up very late and was moody, and she did ask what we needed,but when I told her that we were still trying to figure out what to do about the tables before we could start, she still just stood awkwardly doing nothing, and eventually left the room (again instead of helping us). We were still setting up and feeling incredibly stressed out when our guests started to arrive at 12:30pm, and we had to ask them to wait by the bar side, which was very embarrassing, especially because some of my own baby shower guests were trying to help us set up, which was not right , nor fair to any of us. When we finally got the shower ready, we welcomed our guests in and were awaiting a promised start time for our meal at 1pm. And apparently right around 1, our food was ready for us to begin eating, but staff did not properly do their job and inform us that it was ready, so when we did start eating finally around 1:30pm, (after my husband went to the kitchen to check on things), our food tasted good, but it was cold because it had been sitting for 30 minutes beforehand (and they also completely forgot about our roasted potatoes, which they brought out piping hot after 99% of us were done eating so we didn’t even get to enjoy them.) We enjoyed our shower the best we could considering how stressed we were starting out, and when it was over, some staff came in before we could even pack up properly and without speaking to us, they started taking the tables away (while also giving us unfriendly looks and pushing their way through us and again, not helping us at all). the man whom did the catering, came over to check in with me at this time as well, which I appreciated, but the most even he could say is that they have learned from the mess ups of our shower today, and will do better for the next group of people...which is good for them, but not for us. I am not happy with the way they handled our shower, I find the way they responded and treated us to be very unprofessional, with some staff being rude/moody as well. I truely wish we would have booked our baby shower elsewhere because we could have fully enjoyed ourselves, from start to finish rather then having to feel stressed out and upset. I am not one to complain, I am very easy going and understanding in many cases, and I rarely give a bad review, but this was my baby shower, I was excited for it, and the legion staff caused me and many others, to be incredibly stressed out and upset over this, so if you are looking to book a special event as well, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere.

Great pizza & friendly bartender. In walking distance from home.

Friendly place, staff is really nice. Food is a bit expensive for what you get. 2 pool tables, (one is free) A few dart boards.

Great place to see live music. The food is also very good. I had the chicken parm sandwich and was not disappointed.

Good food, good beer. Darts are open so MIL was happy.Casual atmosphere. Bar only takes cash :( ATM on site :)

Ordered chicken wings to go..went to the bar to order a beer while I waited could not buy a beer with my Debit card had a ATM machine which will cost me $3.00 to get $20.00... so the 3.50 beer will cost me $6.50... sorry will never set foot in the place again

The little restaurant inside is yummy. It's very casual. Patrons are friendly. 45+crowd. My kid likes to play pool here.
