Awhile back in October my partner and I were travelling through Thunder Bay from the interior of bc in our 1983 gm van. (We came a long way) we broke down, brutal situation. HH was relatively attentive to the stressed situation. We got back up and running 4 days later. Made it back the 4 thousand kms home. They forgot a multi tool in my van and the service was good. Thanks for the multi tool guys!

i wish i had found h&h sooner than i did. there’s nowhere else you will find such genuine people who want to put in the work to make your life easier. they will make it their dying mission to get you back on the road STAT. after an extremely pricey unforeseen repair on my car, everyone at h&h was so helpful and accommodating they got the work done way faster than quoted and i could tell they put love into it. i got into my car to the surprise of my oil being changed that needed to be done but i wasn’t going to bother with. you don’t find that generosity often these days, especially being a young female who knows absolutely nothing about her car. they really took the time and energy to do something that made a huge difference to me… you never know when someone is needing a pick me up. i can’t thank h&h enough, there’s nowhere else you’ll see me bringing my car from now on.

The amazing workers at h & h got us in right away and fixed the studs that had broken off and replaced all of our bolts. Thanks to them our trip can continue as planned! We were thinking we would have to wait and spend a few nights they were so understanding and so accommodating. Highly recommend for any of your maintenance needs. The crew is so kind they had us come back this am and check the tire before we headed off to Saskatchewan just to make sure we would be safe. H&H Auto was our road trip rescue! We got stranded in Thunder Bay after our truck broke down more than 16 hours away from home. Not knowing where to go, we went a dealership first. After an appalling runaround at the dealership, we were so frustrated that we paid for a second tow, this time to H & H Auto. It was the best thing we could have done! They were fast, efficient, friendly, and effective. Despite being very busy, they managed to get our truck back on the road within 36 hours and for a fifth of the price the dealership had claimed it would cost. The lady that answers the phones (Nina? I'm sorry if that is misspelled!) is very nice and helpful. The mechanic was very nice too and patiently explained what had happened. They saved the rest of our trip and enabled us to drive our truck home safely. We strongly recommend them and will definitely return if we ever need a mechanic in Thunder Bay again! THANK YOU

Today was the first time I went to get repairs at H & H Auto Repairs.In my64 years of owning dozens of cars/trucks never I have I had such a great experience here. To begin with on the phone a Gentleman answered all my questions, Secondly after bringing my Van in for repairs I had questions about a banging noise and the young Lady on the phone answered every question I had about repairs and parts. I believe her name was Anita, she brought me home & picked me up after repairs completed. This young lady knows her car parts , repairs & symptoms if noise on the car .This noise was driving me crazy for almost 1 year & the other repair shop I used to go said it was something else but not so.It has been so long since I can say I am totally satisfied with H & H shop. This team is totally awesome and I give them 5 starsBest of all I thought the repairs would be much higher as another shop quoted that I supported for years.H & H you have me foreverJohn

I had work done on my car at the end of last year by H&H, roughly $3000 worth. Went to safety it this past month to sell and felt very confident in it passing due to all the work that was recently put into it at H&H. The shop that was doing the safety called me back almost immediately saying it will definitely not pass due to it having a very obvious large rusted out hole in the unibody. The shop doing the safety said that it’s unfortunately not the first time they have seen another shop neglect to mention a significant problem but still have the customer pay for everything else even though it would need a body shop, be extremely costly and most likely not worth it to fix or put work into. I definitely never would’ve put all that money into my vehicle if I knew about that huge rusted out hole and I also wouldn’t have still been driving it due to it being a huge safety hazard! The shop doing the safety also mentioned that the hole had been there for much longer than 6 months and that it’s located in an extremely noticeable and obvious spot that wouldn’t have been missed.H&H has a lot of great reviews which is one of the reasons I chose them. I had absolutely no issues initially and actually thought that they did a great job up until this huge issue came to light. To top it all off, I was specifically told by an employee, possibly mechanic or service guy at the front what great shape my vehicle was in and that there was hardly any rust! I truly feel taken advantage of and am extremely disappointed. I’m not one to make negative reviews but I felt the need to warn others about my experience.On a more positive note, I will mention that they have great customer service! The girl at the front is incredibly friendly and was very helpful during my time there. I just wish the rest of my experience could’ve been that good!

Excellent towing service! I had Brandon tow my car and it worked out great, he was very personable and respectful while I had to accompany him to get my car pulled out late in the evening from a ditch. He was considerate in making sure I was warm and made sure to update me on my car during the whole process.During the towing process Brandon was gentle with my vehicle, it had to be tipped back on its side and pulled out from a ditch in the snow. Surprisingly there seemed to be no external or even internal issues with my car after being pulled out, but it smoked when started. After consideration it was determined that this could possibly be due to all the snow compacted under the hood, with this in mind Brandon made a few calls to have my vehicle stored in the warm shop overnight so that the snow could melt off, and if anything didn't work it would be right at a mechanics shop to be fixed. Upon dropping my vehicle off for the night at the shop, although he was off the clock and not getting paid, Brandon made sure to drop me off for the night at my hotel free of charge.When I called about my vehicle in the morning, it was started and everything looked good. I was able to drive away free of worry and continue on my drive across the country. I made it all the way to BC and still everything is working fine, I am so thankful for the team at H & H auto service and Towing!
