Whisk Matcha Cafe
Drove all the way here on a busy weekend and was super disappointed. The croissants definitely didn’t taste fresh. The texture was hard and tasted 2-3 days old. Mochi muffins were a bit better but nothing to rave about. The person also stuffed my box full and everything was smushed together when I opened it. I was planning to bring these treats to a friend’s house but had to buy something else on the way over instead.I also ordered the brown sugar premium matcha oat latte and it was so bitter I drank a couple of sips and threw the rest out. Do yourself a favor and go to tsujuri instead!

I visited Whisk Cafe twice . Their Matcha drinks are famous, but unfortunately I haven't had the chance to try them myself.The pastries are fresh-baked.The seating at the cafe is very comfortable with cushions.I enjoyed the Vegan Sandwich Crunch - the soft avocado and crunchy seaweed were a great combination, and the soy floss added a nice touch. The textures in the sandwich were really good and it was definitely one of the standout dishes for me.

Paid 8 dollars before tax for a traditional matcha,I was disappointed that it served in a paper cup when I ordered “ dine in” and the staff seems not very happy somehow without smiles.Taste of matcha is generally good, normally the traditional matcha will go with a little wagashi to balance the bitterness, it will be nice to have one to go with it.

Edit: updated from 3 to 5 stars. The owner reached out and took accountability for the service. While it was a busy weekend, she apologized and I appreciated a business who wanted to make things right. I came back on a weekday morning and had another Ube Bouquet (just as good as the first time) and bought some matcha mochi muffins. They had great texture! The staff was also friendly and helpful at the counter, and the owner (Kimmy) came over to say hi & make sure everything was OK.Stopped by for the Vancouver Ice Cream Festival for their special festival drinks. We ordered them to go, without the toppings. Ms. Momotaro was as described, with the peach & matcha flavours complimenting each other well. My Ube Bouquet was so delicious and creamy! The ube flavour was very potent. Also picked up some small mochi muffins, which were $1.50 each.Took off a couple of stars for the service, which was lacklustre. I had a question about the ingredients in the mochi muffins due to dietary restrictions, and the lady at the register was unsure when I asked. She had to check with another staff member, or maybe it was an ingredient list. I know the cafe shares the space with Level V Bakery, but I still feel as if a place that sells/caters to dietary restrictions should know their in-house selection. The main issue was with my drink as I had asked to sub the oat milk for coconut milk. When it was ready, I checked if it had the coconut milk and the lady says oh

Nice little place to come, they have an expansive and creative matcha green tea menu. Tried their matcha croissant, the hot chocolate festival Kyoto Snow , and their strawberry matcha drink. We were a little bummed to find out they ran out of pearls for their strawberry matcha drink, they told us this after we ordered and paid.

Their ‘everyday matcha’ is probably the best price:quality matcha powder in town. It is just perfect for making matcha latte at home. In the café I like that you can customize your plant-based milk and sweetness level. I’m also happy they no longer charge the sit-in price like they did about a year ago. I have tried the matcha soy latte, hojicha oat latte, and coconut strawberry matcha - all were super delicious. I personally find the coconut milk to be a little too heavy/fatty, so it’s better to sub with soy, oat or almond :)

I heard about Whisk Premium Matcha many times and today I finally have my first visit. The Hojicha Express with earl grey cupcake is excellent. The taste of my beverage is not too sweet but smooth and mild enough to soothe my mind. Located at the busy intersection of Mount Pleasant, Whisk is like an oasis in the dessert. You’ll be loving Whisk!

The most amazing vegan soft serve I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and try other flavours this Summer. Great customer service even when the cafe was so busy, their staff was kind and patient as I took my time deciding what to order.

Whisk Matcha Cafe
The most premium matcha drink and soft serve I've ever had! The crunchy avocado toast was light and filled with texture and the mochi muffin was delicious. I absolutely love the ambiance of the cafe inside and will be sure to return to try other items on the menu!
