I want too sure how to rate this place. I haven't had poutine in Canada before this. First the facts. The chips were crispy and we'll cooked. The gravy was deep and we'll gravy like... Savoury and salty. The curds were curd like I guess. I ordered a fried chicken poutine so there was also chicken and green onions. Service was prompt and super friendly.I'm not sure I get poutine though... I can see how people might like the savouriness of the gravy soaking up in the chips. Or the melty curds in the gravy. .. but for me... While all the individual components were good, they didn't seem to meld together.

SO GOOD!! I’ve been looking for some really good poutine in Vancouver and I think I found the best place yet. There’s no seating or anything, just a counter to stand at or you can take the food home. Lots to choose from, including a build your own poutine. I went with the Mean Supreme Poutine which was delicious, the pieces of onion were a bit large and undercooked but the flavour made up for it.

Mean Poutine is one of the top choices for poutine in Vancouver. While they do offer hot dogs, and I have frequented this place ok sever occasions the point one has always been my go to.Place is busy on nights when the Granville strip is lit up. Definitely worth checking out after a night out on the town.

This is the ultimate hole-in-the-wall counter service place - with the most amazing poutine! Made to order, fries were super crispy, and gravy was nice and salty. If we lived nearby, I would eat this every day!

Went to my favourite poutine place downtown to be greeted with a scowl when I politely said hello to the lady that was working on something facing the back. She turned around and gave me a bad look and turned back around to finish what she was doing. Turned back around and asked what I wanted and asked for the chilli poutine which she explained they were out of which was no problem at all so I asked for the Philly cheese steak. She prompted the card machine I payed and tipped. Didn’t think anything of the interaction, I know we all have our bad days but when I got home and opened the poutine it looked like it was flying around in one of the jets on top gun. Barely any gravy or toppings and only was able to have a couple bites. Sadly I won’t be coming back.

The first time I got Mean Poutine (Nov 2022) I was very impressed by the generous portion, crispy fries, lots of Buffalo chicken and a great amount of gravy that tasted really nice. Every time I’ve returned since then - about three times, each visit has been so disappointing. The customer service is not great and the employees ignore customers. Their portion sizes have reduced significantly, the fries are always soggy but somehow there isn’t any gravy and its very dry. Also, there’s barely any cheese curds or chicken added. I don’t think this is worth the value anymore and I will be going to another local business like La Belle Patate and pay a bit more for more generous sizes with phenomenal quality.

The absolute worst poutine place in Vancouver. A shame because it used to be decent. Save your money and walk a couple more minutes to Fritz’s. The gravy was completely clumpy and the poutine was served cold. When I politely pointed out the clumps the lady behind the counter started to yell saying that’s how gravy is made and I should eat it or toss it if I don’t want it. Poutine is only three items and when you’re just buying the stuff pre-made Costco it takes a talent to mess it up this badly.

Best gourmet poutine out there. Some way coolVariety’s like the Philly cheese steak, southern bbq, meat supreme. We loved our poutine and we are poutine carnivores! Simple shop on the roadside. The worker, Hana, from Iran, was extremely kind and helpful. Super quick and relatively affordable. Merci!!! :)
