It was my fist time going to Dumpling King with my fiancé. First, we were greeted in a friendly way by the waitress. However, things took a turn when we ordered our meal.We only ordered two things and it seemed like she was upset we didn't order more. Her attitude became cold. She didn't even come to the table to ask us how the food was. Despite the food being pretty good, I will not be coming back here again. The service was lackluster.She didn't even ask us if it was our first time coming to the restaurant, but asked that to the two well-dressed gentlemen. She also treated the other couple who was there before us with politeness. All she did with us was give us the food and seem annoyed when we asked for a spoon and an extra to-go container (which she did not provide because no problem

Okay let's get started. For dim sum on the west island DUMPING KING ,is great.The food is made to order. Fresh .you have to try it. For your self. To experience this fantastic place.

Definitely not the king, but good dumplings, service was super fast! Prices reasonable too. My pregnant friend and I ordered a ton of food. But they brought out the main before the apps! If you're cruising for dumplings, try it.

One of the best places for authentic dumplings in the area. Very friendly owners and excellent service. The portions are generous and perfectly cooked. Try the sweet pork dumplings, you won't regret it.

We ordered the pan seared pork and cabbage dumplings & hot and sour beef dumpling soup, both pork and beef dumplings were super tasty! Very spicy and homemade broth. The spring rolls were just ok. Highly recommended for their dumplings. It’s wonderful to have a good dumpling restaurant in the West Island. Speedy and friendly service.

Absolutely LOVE the General Tao! One of the best I ate so far. It is fresh and crispy. The amount is generous.The crispy chicken survived the travel time and it is rarely the case for the General Tao in take out.(Generally with other General Tao they arrive suggy and not chrispy.)It is not the case with this one. Stayed crisp and yummy.Suggestion for the menu:1-Would love the option to have some Chinese Broccoli Stir Fry on the menu.2- Would love the option to make the general taol spicy. That will be even nicer.

We got Shrimp Dim Sum, pork and cabbage dumplings, veggie dumplings, wonton soup, and edamame. I like the owners of this place but they are a bit stingy and not business savvy. We had to ask to get chili oil and were brought a very tiny amount. Isn't chili oil like a standard in dumpling places? The soy sauce felt like it lacked salt (how is that even possible). These are cheap ingredients that better the experience of the customer and the owners should understand that being cheap about this really leaves a bad taste (sometimes literally).For the food, the wonton soup was reasonably good, the edamame were brought nice and warm, and the shrimp dim sum were stuffed well (though the shrimp was not chopped and there was too much dough). But the pork and veggie dumplings were really bad. The the pork dumplings lacked fat or flavor. The veggie dumplings were under seasoned. This was really quite disappointing; when I'm craving dumplings, I expect a sumptuous umami filled bite. Also, there are in total three pork dumplings, where the pork and leek dumpling has to come with shrimp. I don't get why the pork and cabbage dumpling can't instead be pork and coriander or pork and leeks. They are rigid about this and the choices are limited. Overall, sad to say a no no for me for future dumpling cravings. Three stars includes one star because I like the elderly couple who run the place.

FINALLY a good Chinese restaurant in the West Island. The general Tao is amazing , perfectly crispy and light on the sauce, maybe a little too light. Beef and coriander pan fried dumplings with homemade sauce were delicious. Veggie fried rice was very good. Popcorn chicken was not very good, not very crispy and weird seasoning which is surprising since the general Tao is so good. The couple that own it are very sweet. This is definitely the place I’ll order in the future. Only other mention is I wish they had a few more veggie options for my wife.

Not bad, but not great.At the beginning. They ask me, do I have to order dumplings? I have said no, I don’t have to order dumplings. I only order food what I like. There’s no need to required to order dumplings to costumers.I understand about dumpling is the best dish in this name of restaurant.Wonton Soup, and spring roll are pretty delicious.The price for Combo A is really fine.For Chicken Tao tasted a little bit like nothing, the sauce couldn’t have enough sauce on it and portion is fine.
