Kuluta Buddhist Centre is a blessing for all the people of the Kingston area. Everyone is truly welcome. I attended for nearly 20 years. No matter who the teacher was throughout those years, I received wonderful guidance through meditations and Buddhist teachings. Now that I live in a city without an NKT Buddhist Centre, I value Kuluta even more so! Give a General Program class a try. Well worth your time.

Kuluta Centre has closed down. Kingston really needs a dharma centre with a fully qualified resident teacher and all 3 study programs, together with opportunities for people to practise all of Je Tsongkhapa's recommended practices, including Tara on the 8th, Lama Chopa on the 10th and 25th, Kangso on the 29th, as well as daily practice of Heart Jewel and also the wonderful celebration of Je Tsongkhapa Day on October 25th. This should be made available for everyone. Please pray with me that this may come true.

I walked into my first class at the Kuluta Buddhist Centre just out of curiosity, and 20 years later I'm still attending! The teacher Gen Denpa is very knowledgeable, warm and friendly, as is the community. Every class has practical tips on how to apply Buddhist teachings to challenges in everyday life -- very helpful! I highly recommend giving it a try.

I attended for several years, and visit as much as I can when back in Kingston. This is an excellent place for anybody interested in Buddhist teachings, novice to advanced.

I've seen people turned away because they don't have the $10.00 fee. Denpa is extremely knowledgeable but not organized and speeks of money very often in her teachings. I would strongly suggest you follow the teachings of the Buddha, without having to follow an institution based environment.

Friendly Buddhist center where you can go to learn to meditate, take classes in Buddhist thought and philosophy or just hang out with friendly, like-minded people. Oh, and the resident nun Denpa is a jewel! Recommended.
