Pet Valu

Tldr: call them before you go to make sure they are actually open.The store is fine, but they are NEVER open regularly posted hours, at least not in the last year. They change their hours constantly. I understood when things were in lockdown, but most businesses are managing fine at this point. Maybe they should hire the appropriate amount of staff to ensure they can stay open for posted hours? I have shown up on multiple occasions because the posted hours said they were open, only to find a piece of paper in the window saying closed due to staff shortages". But I've also noticed that whenever I go there is hardly anyone in the store

I had purchased cat food 3 days ago and I came in today to exchange two flavors with the same brand because my cat doesn't like them. There is a promotion that is running through December 15 for the brand that I bought but I was told that I have to pay for the difference... I'm confused and disappointed. Sorry to say that I will not be shopping at Pet Valu again.

I've had multiple situations in this store that have been unpleasant. Prior to the new rules of not being able to enter the store. I give this store 2 stars because at the least I was able to purchase what I needed, but I wasnt treated like most going in here. Multiple times I felt discriminated against because I would stand holding my items and see workers talking to another local client and would leave me standing. I dont say much, I have always been polite and respectful. When the new rules came out and we could atleast pick up at the door. I sent my wife to pick up an order I made and they made her stand in the cold while they cleaned the glass. Cleaning was priority over the customer. I know when I'm treated fairly and sometimes I wasn't here.

Helpful staff and good selection of true pet store items. Unique stuff too!

My dog Sofi is always happy to go there and get a couple of treats. Great service. Nice to have the reward system.

My dog managed to run into a bush filled with burrs. I ran to PetValu to get something to help get the burrs out but got there at 7:02. They were still closing up. I knocked on the door and begged them to let me in. The cashier did a little neck slice, which I guess indicated they're closed. I told them my dog was covered in burrs and it was an emergency, I just needed a comb or slicker brush. The cashier gave me a little shrug. Didn't care.Spend your money somewhere that cares about animals, there are tons of good places in the area.

Poor service, rude service. Will never go back. Go to the other pet value further west
