Absolutely stunning view if you can make it through the rough trail leading to the view point.

Trail with moderate difficulty level. Challenging with all rocks and change of path elevations and last kilometre through forest needs patience but the view from the look out makes it a worthy and best hikes in Ontario. Takes 3-4 (depends on pace level & hike capabilities) hours to and fro from parking point.

Nice hike, about 1 hour up 1 hour down. Paid parking and reservation this year which is not ideal because it’s literally just a parking lot, not like the trails are overly maintained.

I was here in October 2021 and I would say that this trail is rather raw in the sense that you are pretty much trekking on your own and there are times when the distances provided by the signages are inaccurate. In addition, there are no public washrooms anywhere apart from the parking areas and that there are no hand railings when scaling the slopes and if you are not in proper hiking shoes, you might risk falling off. This trail is moderate to advanced kind of challenging and the day I was here, it was raining, so the area was really muddy and chilly (not that cold as it was still kind of the beginning o f the fall season. Do bring a waterproof shell and if you are afraid of cold, insulated jacket. Bring plenty of water and snacks as the journey is not long, but undulating with slopes you have to scale up with rocks and sometimes you might have to just hold onto tree trunks to get down. The view when you get to Georgian Bay Beach is gorgeous and along the way you can look out to the Georgian Bay. I would not recommend bringing toddlers or children who cannot hike independently as you might have to carry them most of the way when there are slopes. There are no barriers at any point in time and you may just fall off the cliff.Scenery is pretty but mostly focusing on the Georgian Bay, within the forested area, there isn't much, except more forest. Do book your parking in advanced and there are seasons when parking is free.

I would suggest getting there before 10am in order to secure a parking spot as it tends to fill up after that. There are porta-johns.My rating would be higher but this year they’ve decided to implement a $5 per hour parking fee without improving anything else about the parking lot. I would recommend getting at least 3 hours as the trek up should take about an hour one way.
