Porto Osteria

In July we took two couples with us to try your restaurant. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and experience. Very cute and cozy place with lovely staff. When the bill came we were all very concerned that we had paid $50 each person for a flight of new wines to taste. The wines were great but for $50 each we could have had a bottle each. This has soured our enthusiasm to return. A flight to us would be some small taster glasses of wine for $10-15 at most!!!! So sad to leave with that feeling of being taken advantage of. In future, I suggest you let customers know how exorbitant a flight of Italian wine is before serving it.Sharlene Shore

If you like Italian food and I mean the kind you get in Italy then this is your place. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten in. The words pillow soft and creamy discribes the best polenta I have ever had. The Tuscan Beef was rich and tender. And the Lemon Pasta well if you do not think of Sorrento I don't know what would. Can't wait to go back!

Lovely little seaside restaurant! My husband and I went for lunch today and enjoyed fresh pasta with marinara sauce. It was simple and rustic, and the perfect texture. The coffee is great (roasted by local company Bows & Arrows) and there was also a great selection of desserts. We will definitely be back as the dinner menu looked fantastic, and the service was wonderful.

We couldn't have been happier with our choice to visit Porto Osteria. We had issues finding somewhere close enough to the ferry but also with a decent food and drink offering. We stumbled on Porto by zooming in on Google Maps. From the moment we arrived we were treated with the greatest service and friendliness. Michael and Jennifer made a great team, knowing we were running behind and not trying to miss the ferry. Yet the food was still perfect, despite the tight timelines. You could taste the bounce and pep in the fresh home cooked pasta. The fresh cut cheese really brought out the aroma in the carbonara and the squid ink pasta and spot prawns stole the show. The mussels and clams were also fresh. We also had a tamponade antipasto and it was also just right, not too salty not too bland. They also had some local beers (canned not draft). I will be back.

The best Lasgna I ever had! . We loved the Lasgna and we are coming back soon for the egg yolk pasta in this weekend. Beautiful place to hangout and their desserts are awesome.

Wonderful establishment: great staff and excellent food.I accidentally booked my reservation on the wrong date; they found us a table and ensured us we could stay as long as we wanted (even though their reservations were completely booked for that evening).Definitely recommend getting dessert. Next time I plan to eat their lasagna: it looked fabulous!

The owners went out of their way to accommodate me with food allergies for my birthday and even made me this amazing vegan brownie so I could enjoy something for dessert on my special day! Thanks so much !

Outstanding! We found out about this restaurant through friends and so far has not disappointed. Due to Covid we are not dining in so have only had their take away and every time our meals are fabulous. Large portions and very tasty, Hubby said it was the best caesar salad he has ever had! I highly recommend trying them out especially when they offer a set dining event, great value and an opportunity to try several items on their menu!

Hidden gem of Sydney & the Island. Great date night spot ! Fresh made pasta and bread with genuine customer service. Tucked nicely back in Canoe Cove with water and marine views. Highly recommend!!

Delicious food, friendly staff. Definitely on the pricey side, especially considering the portion sizes, but a lovely spot for date night if you enjoy Italian.
