Tapestry at Village Gate West

Just witnessed the rudest woman driving a Tapestry vehicle picking up senior at the Doctors office. This woman was blowing her horn before she even got into her vehicle for another car to get out of her way. I guess she felt she was more important then anyone else in the lot. To have someone that impatient and irate taking care of seniors actually scares me.

Jolie has been working here for so many years which gives her much experience with the seniors regarding their likes and dislikes and how to accommodate their needs best. No wonder everyone really likes her!

I would highly recommend working at this facility :)

Retirement home

I put my mother in Tapestry about 1.5 years ago. They have very limited number of meals covered which is surprising that not all the meals are covered considering the exorbitant cost (5500/mo for 500 sq ft). My mother was forgetful and would go for meals multiple times and they just kept charging her. My experience was that the management was more interested in the dollars rather than the elderly clients. Another friend told me her mother kept going to the bar to get alcohol and they kept charging her bill rather than trying to suggest to her mother that she had had enough.We put our elderly in these facilities because we cannot watch over them and make sure they get the care they need. My mother is diabetic and while she was in Tapestry she gained weight because of her overeating. I only became aware of the problem when i got the bill not because Tapestry informed me.

Don't believe some of the bad reviews below about homeless man and such. This is a beautiful place. My mother-in-law has been there for 2 years and it has absolutely turned her life around. After her husband passed away, she was lonely. We visited 3 other retirement homes, but Tapestry was by far the best quality/value and felt comfortable right from the start. It is important to mention that Tapestry has beautiful laid-out apartments with full kitchen. The other places we visited had only a mini fridge and microwave. The Tapestry is a very welcoming community. They have activities everyday for them, gym classes and the food/restaurant is fantastic. You can have a special menu specially made is there are some health concerns. The staff is always open to suggestions. Thank you Tapestry!

In times of hardships one can really appreciate the value of a good retirement home. In Tapestry at Village Gate West from the management,to the Health and Wellness staff, the maintenance staffthe concierges, the chef and restaurant staff, all the employees go out of their way to look after our safety and our needs and give us an extra smile or kind word to lighten up our thoughts in this difficult times.I very much appreciate their efforts.Kathy (Kathleen)
