Edo Japan - Guildford Town Centre - Grill and Sushi

We love the chicken Teriyaki as its very good. Everytime we go there, the staff recognizes us and is super nice to make sure our order is perfect... recommend you get the Chicken Teriyaki and ask for extra sauce... totally worth it!

We've been going to Edo Japan as long as they've been around, which is a long time. We went yesterday to this particular location, looking forward to ordering from their menu.Sadly, very sadly they now sell pork on their menu. As diverse as the population is, one would wonder why they would not accommodate people who do not eat pork for either health or religious reasons. I asked yesterday did they cook it in a separate part of the cooking surface. I was advised they do not, but they can wash that part of the cooking surface. This is completely unacceptable, if there was a Trace of pork there and somebody was allergic this would make that person very ill. One would think they would accommodate the diverse population by cooking pork on a completely separate pork only part of that cooking surface.So last evening we have now closed the chapter on eating at Edo Japan.Sadly.The great place if you want to go spend 12 bucks on a bowl of mostly rice with hardly any vegetables and a little touch of beef. The attached picture is deceiving, looks like a lot of vegetables and beef (terriyaki) what is thought is a pike of rice with a little of everything else. The extra mushrooms added up to 3 in total!!This was a disappointment for this very good chain of restaurants!

Really enjoyed their new Chicken Bowl! It was hearty and I didnt know they had Boba Tea here as well =)

They really should check their veggies and pick out the bad ones at least before cooking it for customers. I don't want to eat veggies gone bad especially moldy looking ones. You would think the guys always manage to drop a few good pieces of the veggies while scooping to your bowl but they can't pick out the bad looking ones first?

I bought 3 different lunch meals for the family that day, (different kiosks). This location of Edo Japan was the most expensive lunch meal and was ordered without any meat. Not sure why any adjustment wasn't made because the quantity did not match the price.

Seriously disappointed with how disrespectful a place could be. Check out how much sauce they included with a 10pz tempura order. No spills or accidents. Literally can’t even use this amount for 1 piece.

The food is not bad, the vegetables are still a bit raw in my opinion.What annoyed me was that how rush they made my food. I was in the process of ordering my food and someone is already making it. When I wanted to change my order they said they're already making it and I felt bad so I had to pay for more expensive food I didn't really want.Would be better if they start to make the food AFTER I pay for them

I normally always go to Thai Express for fast food when on the move in the mall, but thought I'd try this joint which is pretty much on par for standard pan Asian fusion.I got the Sizzling Shrimp Teryaki Bento with Edamame 枝 and Prawn Tempura. The Prawn Tempura was sorry for itself and a stingy portion of Edamame 枝 made this not worth the extra almost 5 bucks as a combo.However, the Shrimp was fairly plentiful and didn't taste too bad. Albeit I'd have liked a bigger portion of veggies, this wasn't too bad and fairly standard. The brown rice was definetely undercooked in most areas so I couldn't finish it all.

My first Japanese experience went well with a safe bet of noodles. Loved their vegetarian option and would surely visit them again

This is by far the best EDO location in the entire lower mainland, their service was great especially I’ve been helped by a nice and smiley face lady and her name was Jessica so giving 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for her
