Shared my story out of worry for future families and dogs and got publicly gas-lit. Definitely needs to be more education (on paper/ through email) so that they can't use this she did not listen to what was told of her" as an excuse. I had nothing against EJ until this happened. They are making a traumatizing experience more traumatizing. They deleted all the messages that were sent to us from them. Someone is lying or hiding something. I did nothing but share what I experienced.. People aren't out to get you guys

Adopted a puppy named Brutus. They didn’t really know anything about his past. Told me he was dewormed and vaccinated but within 2 weeks he started pooping out huge worms! But that’s not why I’m against them. They refused to send me vaccination records and sent me on a chase with the vet who wouldn’t release them to me. I chased for weeks! Finally after I started bashing them on social media they sent me pictures of them and got mad at me. I don’t even know if they were actually his. The beginning was a mess too, I went to the fosters home to see him and she was like ya just take him right now as I’m moving and they won’t come get him. They adopted my boy to me without even checking my house, which isn’t a big deal because I have a dog safe home BUT what if they adopted to someone who didn’t. They would never know. I missed all puppy training classes because they wouldn’t send the records and had so many excuses. The fastest thing they did was accept the $600 which they said had to be considered a donation. After hearing about all the bad stuff after I adopted from them I do not recommend. Thankfully my boy is happy, healthy, and didn’t have severe health problems.

Avoid at all costs. Do not use this place. We were lied to from the beginning. Was a volunteer foster for a couple years and fostered serveral dogs. 1 was super aggressive and we were told he was a gentle sweetheart. Told us our fosters were on a kill list down in Arizona and had to be fostered immediately. Funny thing is 2 years later I talked to the lady WHO ACTUALLY RESCUED THEM IN ARIZONA and they were never on a kill list. We eventually adopted them and were only told they had missing teeth. We were not told THAT BOTH DOGS HAD HEART CONDITIONS. They both required medical care which cost us 200/month. We loved our dogs dearly but EJ Rescue is a horrible rescue.

Go to EJ Rescue Canada to see reviews. Name change does not mean improvements. Do your due diligence and do your homework before you get involved with this rescue". Negative stars would be given if possible. Review posts made about this group on Airdrie Dogs

I have dealt with EJ for over a year now. I've had nothing but positive experiences with them. Anytime I've asked for information I've been given it. They've helped many people from remote communities have access to veterinary care as well.

An awful organization to deal with as a potential adopter. From start to finish it was bad. I would definitely recommend using one of the more reputable shelters in the area - such as Cochrane Humane. Any organization that will release an animal to an adopter prior to a spay/neuter should be ashamed of themselves.

I would never recommend EJ Rescue. We adopted a dog and after a week they wanted me to give them a 5 star rating. We have had the dog for over 3 weeks and still no vet papers and no reply to emails. Stay far away from this group. If they are who they say they are why are they so hard to deal with. If they really were trying to help the rescue dogs then they should have the vet papers to give you at Adoption. We drove over 16 hours round trip to get this dog because we wanted him. They sure didn't have a hard time taking our money. We are responsible pet owners and take our pets to the vet. The vet doesn't want to give him shots that he's already had. Now I don't know if they send any papers are they the right ones.BEWAREloved these dogs they would want owners to take
