Nice SSI addition. Had a smash burger, nice char. Friendly staff. Space is cool, could maybe use a dimmer switch on the lights, was a bit bright, but otherwise great hangout.

We asked for hot water but they didn’t have a kettle so they weren’t able to provide us with any. A kettle isn’t the only way to boil water, but I guess their resources were limited. It looked like there was only one chef in the kitchen and it was a busy long weekend night. Every table was occupied. It took over an hour for our food to come out because there was a large table who ordered ahead of us. All we ordered were their burgers and fries. The waiter was kind and apologetic and ended up offering to give us our drinks for free.I think the food was good but we were all starving by the time our food came. We inhaled it so fast that it’s really hard to say.

Beautiful, delicious, novel cocktails and the coolest vibe. The food menu has more than the chicken burger on it, but that chicken burger is so good that I can’t help but order it every time. The Korean chicken was so delicious, too. A must try for anyone visiting, and a great place to make your regular haunt for locals.

Good food! We came when they had a $20 burger and beer special which was awesome. Burger was fresh and salad was amazing.

Fun place with a wonderfully curated beverage and food menu. We loved the cauliflower bites, pamplemous bubblies, and yummy beer. Friendly, efficient service and a playful atmosphere. Great stop on a rainy afternoon.

Absolutely amazing staff, food, serving time, and atmosphere. Best food / dining experience I've had living on Salt spring for 3+ years. They fulfilled my obscure order flawlessly. This will be my new usual Friday night unwinder from now on.

Cassette Cafe and Dive bar does a lot of things right! Simple menu but they knock out every dish, great portion size, very impressive beer, cocktail and wine options! The vibe was laid back and service was attentive and friendly.

Cassette Cafe and Dive Bar
I keep coming back, but this time came for the coffee. The space was cool on the scorching summer morning, and the iced americano was beautifully extracted and delicious. And I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich on the spacious patio with my sons, taking in the sights of the busy Saturday market across the street.
