We had no intention of making a purchase, we were just window-shopping, but the selection was so well curated that we left with 5 more books for the To Be Read pile.Great little shop, we'll be back.

Hands down my favourite book store in Edmonton - they've nailed the cozy used book store vibe, the curation is exceptional, and the owners are lovely. I was pleasantly surprised by the range of titles they had when I visited on their first week - and they didn't even have their entire collection on the shelves yet. Their pricing was very reasonable, and I found so many more titles that appealed to me than at any other shop in YEG. Wonderful addition to the community, I will definitely be a returning customer.

Only great things to say about this book store! You can feel the passion radiate from the owners. Great recommendations, so friendly. Such a cozy atmosphere and curated, thoughtful collection of books. Great prices. The only book store now in Edmonton as far as I’m concerned. Thank you thank you!

One of the cutest shops in Edmonton... I truly feel like I'm transported to another city when I'm inside. Incredibly cozy and full of great titles that I could spend hours going through.The owners are also super friendly and kind. Couldn't ask for a better little shop!

I, being a great procrastinator, was scrambling to find a book for my partner of Valentine’s day. I had called around to pretty much every book store in downtown and hadn’t found any luck. Paper Birch was my last hope & I was told that the exact copy I was looking for was in their backlog just about ready to be priced for selling. They went above and beyond to make sure to get back to me promptly and even offered to stay open later so I can get this book. Once getting there, they were both incredibly sweet and pleasant. The store is cozy and inviting, and I will absolutely go back there when I want to peruse some books. Thank you guys for making my day & also giving me a free treat from the scavenger hunt that was going on that day!

I love the atmosphere of this little store. It's as if you'll find a book that feels like treasure in here. The array of books is immense. It's categorized really well, so you'll find something you'll enjoy easily, and may even pick up something you wouldn't normally. The owner is very kind and welcoming, and I adore the thrift store cash register. These little touches make the store unique.

This is a d lightbulb and VERY well curated used bookstore. A bibliophile's delight with outstanding proprietors who know every volume and will happily try to find that particular tome that is so hard to find! You will always find something wonderful to take away.

This is one of the best new additions to our city. The owners are not only welcoming, but create such an amazing atmosphere that it feels like stepping into their personal library. The place has an old soul, I could curl up here for hours. Beyond this experience, I have to say they also stepped up and offered to help me solve an after-hours, pre-christmas emergency when my dog unexpectedly ate a 1944 edition, hardcover. Family business that treats you like family. Doesn't get better than this. Support local. Support these guys.
