Sturgeon Hunter

Took a 2-day trip with Sturgeon Hunter in late November, we were out with Rod and had a great time. Rod was knowledgeable, friendly, patient and very entertaining; making the most out of very challenging river conditions given the extreme amounts of rain that preceded our arrival. Our second day was an epic day on the water, we caught 12 Sturgeon, 10 over 6’6” and our longest 2 were both 8’1”.When flooding and landslides delayed our departure, Steve & Rod were instrumental in helping us navigate back to the airport, with Steve’s team pulling together to get us home safely. Will definitely be booking with Sturgeon Hunter when we return.

My son and I went on a guided trip and Steve put us on the fish! Was a fantastic time, my son's favourite trip by far! Steve knows the river and knows where the big fish are. We fought and landed 5 including a big 8 footer. Steve was very helpful in coaching us to land the fish. Would highly recommend Sturgeon Hunter! My son and I are already talking about our next trip.

What a fantastic day on the water with Steve! Steve was so knowledgeable about sturgeon and the water ways in BC. We caught a 7 ft 7 (and 4 others). If you're on the fence about sturgeon fishing on the Fraser DO IT! And Sturgeon hunters is the right choice!

Booked a trip came all the way down from Saskatchewan and never caught anything. Now I do realize that with fishing anything can happen however they are other guided outfits in the same area who have a 100% guarantee of catching a sturgeon or your next trip is free which is who I will book with next time and recommend others to do as well. The point I’m trying to make here is go with what’s guaranteed and don’t roll the dice like I did and have a terrible experience.Edit: Who are you to tell me I infact didn’t have a bad experience? I’ll say it for the second time “It was a terrible experience” matter of fact the best part about it was getting back to my vehicle and driving away after 8 hours sitting there like a post. Again I stand by my statement posted above, there are other guided outfits out there in the area that have 100% guarantees. Also I’m not “trashing” your business I’m giving a review with the facts based on my personal experience.

My family and I had a great day fishing with Steve. Communication with his staff beforehand was clear, we booked a year in advance and had no problems. It was one of the few companies that we could find that had a boat that would take six people. This is a long standing company - Steve's been in the business for 25 years and it shows - extremely knowledgeable, patient with our group who had a range of experience and abilities, realistic with what to expect, safety-minded, and respectful towards the fish and conservation. We had a lot of fun reeling in sturgeon with him, caught one first thing in the morning and then a large 8' 9 fish in the afternoon! Highly recommend Sturgeon Hunter as an outfit

Going Sturgeon fishing has been on my bucket list for a long time. Sturgeon Hunters organization was top notch. From the time we booked to accommodations, boat launch times and directions they were their every step of the way. The boat we fished in was clean with lots of room and canopy. Our guide Steve was amazing. Very knowledgeable and great sense of humour. Many laughs and high fives were had. We went aug 4&5 2022 and landed 12 fish over those 2 days with the biggest being just shy of 7 foot. This was an amazing adventure and would recommend Sturgeon Hunters over and over again. Thank you for the fantastic time and memories to last a life time.

Would you like to have an amazing and memorable experience of sturgeon fishing? Call there guys and simply enjoy your time. They are really good at every point. Reasonable price, good customer service, good boat and seasoned guides.I and my son, we really enjoyed our time, got two big sturgeons and many bites. What an epic and unforgettable trip back! Was there two years ago and will be returning again!Cannot recommend anyone but Sturgeon Hunters for going after these monsters!5 days of big fish with guides Steve and Rod!9’6, 8’4 and numerous 7 footers! Plus some amazing salmon fishing!

We had a Epic fishing day! Rod hooked us 4 fish, we landed 2. We broke a Sea Monster off after a 2 hour battle at the end of the day. Rod took us to at least 10 different holes, he was a great guide.We will do this again for sure.The ladies loved this trip.Thanks Sturgeon Hunter
